Zen's is one of very few of our go-to for Chinese food takeout or catering. The food is consistently on point. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We've placed a handful of catering orders from Zen's, and depending on your order, they can deliver quite far. If you're looking for real good Chinese food, here's one.
I went to Zen's for the first time and was happy to see how clean the inside of the restaurant was. Although they charge a little more for lunch, it is worth it. The food was fresh and very tasty. We will be back again soon!
The crystal shrimp dumplings are great, but Zens has taken a steep nosedive on quality, the chicken in the chicken with broccoli has been consistently dry through multiple tries. The rice has been mushy and unpalatable, and the lo mein was almost flavorless. I give 3 stars only because I used to like them, but I probably will not be back
I ordered a beef chow mein and this is what came. I’ve eaten in many Chinese restaurants before and this is definitely not chow mein. There was mostly veggies and only a few pieces of beef. It came with white rice and I made a call to confirm if this is what I ordered. The response I got was this is chow mian. If you wanted to get the fried noodles you have to order chow fen. Like what? It was a mistake on their end and then it was my problem that I ordered the wrong thing? This is definitely not what I ordered and you should admit you mistakes instead of making others take the blame for you. There should have been a refund or redo because this is not my order and I’ve called to confirm.
The best Chinese food hands down have been eating here for years honestly never had a bad order moderately priced nice people fast service a must try not greasy or salty chinese food done correctly !
This has to be the nastiest chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. The chicken and broccoli came very dark looking broccoli was mushy and over cooked the fried rice looked as it was fried in used motor oil and had a after taste that lasted two days.Just horrific!
Tried this place because of the good reviews. Shrimp with broccoli had hardly any shrimp, a ton of broccoli, and not much flavor. Fried Rice was ok. Shrimp eggroll was swimming in oil, had to roll it in paper towel to soak up the oil and put in toaster oven to crisp it up, and again, not much flavor. Hubby liked his spareribs, they were flavorful and had sauce on them which a lot of places don’t do anymore. He couldn’t eat his wonton soup, he said that the wontons tasted funny. Seems impossible to find Good chinese takeout these days!! I miss the yummy old school chinese food from my childhood. 😔 Guess I’ll just continue my search.
My family and I tried Zen's last night for the first time. We haven't had Chinese food in months because we've had trouble finding a good place and gave up. Last night was cold and we were tired of pizza and craving some good Wonton soup. We googled, found that Zen's had a 4.8 rating. Best of all, it was close to home so we tried them and so glad we did! I picked up the order and was able to see that the place was spotless, even the kitchen area. The order was packed perfectly. Each item was huge (enough for 2 days). The wonton soup was delicious and not too salty. Nothing was greasy, not even the egg rolls. I ordered chicken with baby eggplant and garlic and it was the best I have ever had. Not greasy at all and the garlic sauce was amazing! My son had chicken with pan fried noodles and it was loaded with fresh vegetables. We also had sesame chicken (all white meat) and shrimp egg foo young. I really have never had Chinese food as good as this place and we will definitely be back!
