There is so much sadness here. The film stop the most bland vanilla milkshake that has probably been served in the history of vanilla milkshakes. The photocopied kids menu cropped so that many of the instructions are incomplete — but they don’t matter because the restaurant doesn’t give out crayons with them anyway. (Mind you, you must request silverware with your meal as well, should you attempt to order more than finger food.) The bounciness of the cheeseburger patty — you may want to use a sharp knife, if they have utensils that day. The lack of availability of any beer on tap, at least when I went, depriving you of any remotely decent option given the bland choices for bottles. Oh, speaking of bland, try the chicken on the Cobb salad! There are a few saving graces. The corkscrew curly fries were a memorably pleasant twist, pun intended. Our server meant well. And the bread with the crab dip tasted appropriately bread-like. But so much is so awry here. Even the flimsy restaurant sign dangling loosely in front of the fireplace made it seem like the sign just wanted to call it quits. This is one White Horse that should not be saddled. Let it roam free into the West Virginian wilderness so that a new stallion or mare can grace this stable.

Nice little tavern just outside Harpers Ferry park. It was dead on a Thursday afternoon (no surprise). You have to enter through the hotel (Clarion?) entrance. For the historic location, they could have done a little more with the atmosphere. I ordered crab soup and a crab cake sandwich. The crab soup was good, with fresh crab on top. Was disappointed in the crab cake sandwich. Being on the border of Maryland I thought it would be something special, it wasn't, I could have got this in Wisconsin, it was quite dry, not much flavor without the remoulade that came with it. I probably won't go here again.

I absolutely loved this place. Their food is out of this world. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the hangover burger with fries. Everything was fantastic. Their beer selection was great with many regional beers on tap. If I find myself in Harpers Ferry again, I will make it a priority to stop here. Shoutout to Gabe behind the bar. He was attentive and friendly.

Great spot that’s close to Harper’s Ferry, convenient if you’re staying at the hotel or at the KOA. Solid beer selection and great burgers and wings. Check your wings first though if you’re getting them to go. Last nights order apparently still had feathers attached…. First time I’ve seen that!

I was so excited to come here for the first time as I don’t live far but this trip was severely disappointing. Crab dip was barely warm, dried out, microwave version. Southwest salad lettuce was wilted and disgusting. Grilled chicken was so hard I could barely chew it. We waited over 30 minutes for our waiter to come back with the check or even check on us, I understand times are tough right now and good help is hard to find but this was not a good experience and we absolutely will never be back.

All of the food seemed microwaved. Took 2 hrs to get served sandwiches for a family of 4. Very overpriced for what it is. Restaurant was FILTHY. Trash all over the floor, dirty silverware. Waitress was very nice. Milkshakes $8, drinks $10. apps close to $10 each. $120 in total for a Sunday night dinner: 2 apps to share, 2 mixed drinks, 1 kids meal and 3 adult meals. Had the restaurant been cleaner and it not taken 2 hrs- experience would have been better. It took close to 30min just to get our drinks. Mixed drinks were very good however- strong. Guac on chicken sandwich seemed like something from a squeeze tube. **Response to reply** You seem to be missing several items from my order, which is odd since you 'located my receipt'- this includes the chicken sandwich PICTURED, and an adult milkshake- which was $8. I tipped the waitress $20, because as mentioned she was very polite- and of course there was tax. The bill was $120. I have the receipt ALSO. We were also definitely there for longer than an hour. But rather than go back and forth with me, that time could be put to better use cleaning your establishment. Have a wonderful day. We will not be back.

Had a great time sitting on the deck outside listening to a band. We split a burger. And enjoyed the crab appetizer.

Excellent service for me and my dog. They brought water for her on the patio, and when a storm came up, they let us sit in the corner inside . The food was very tasty - I got the Fried Green Tomato BLT and fries. I love these kinds of fries - kinda an extra crunchy oven fry. It came loaded with bacon too! 100% Dog friendly patio
