I eat here often, at least three times each week. The food is good and the crew is great and sometimes a source of humor. For example, I slept late one day and didn't get here until about 10:00. Rachel looked at me and sort of hesitatingly asked if my order had been taken. When I told her what I wanted, she smiled and announced," I know you. You're usually here at 6:00. That's what threw me off. I know what you always order." Several people responded with laughter and comments. She's one of the terrific people there waiting to make your day better with good food and friendly service.
Waitress was wonderful however the screaming supervisor shift leader girl sounded like a bossy B. Yelling at the staff for having attitudes. Her attitude and energy was literally bringing all of them down. She seems like an unhappy individual who needs to learn how to treat people better. You praise in public and discipline in private!!!!
I Love the Waffle House. The cook knows how to win MMA fights.
Not too busy, but cook was not organized or timely. Food came out in "minutes" intervals.. asked for sausage gravy was "nuclear" hot, by time the rest of meal came, gravy was barley warm.
When I pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant the waitress was standing right next to the front entrance smoking a cigarette, and ironically standing right next to a sign that said no smoking within 25 feet of the entrance. The cook was also outback sitting on milk crates smoking a cigarette. We went inside and were served promptly, but neither the cook nor the waitress washed their hands after coming inside. The men’s bathroom was pretty dirty and the toilet was clogged and unflushed. This food was served quickly and looked fine and tasted fine. I found a few foreign objects floating on the surface of the hot sauce in the Tabasco bottle, which was a little offputting. To top things off they had repairman in working on the refrigerator, which could happen at any restaurant but it certainly did not help with the vibe of this one. I’m a big fan of waffle house and this is by far the worst one I have ever been to. I’m posting this publicly in hopes that the management will take note and clean things up.
Constant screaming of orders between servers and the cooks. Cook with the red hair dye has been watching too much Gordon Ramsey. Obviously TOXIC work environment for these folks, and our poor server looked like it was "initiation week" for her. The poor thing didn't stand on the correct floor tile square and scream her order correctly enough for the red dye cook, so our order took forever because cook refused to acknowledge the incorrect screaming/incorrect floor tile. Our food came out wrong and I'm pretty sure cook did it on purpose to screw our server out of her tip. We tipped regardless. Girl, if you're still there, I hope you're ok! We won't be back.
Everything was perfect!! 2 eggs over medium, crispy bacon, hash browns with onions and buttered toast. The ladies on the grill were rockin it!!! The place was super busy but they really had it together. They were quick but not too rushed that mistakes would be made. Usually when a place like this is super busy mistakes are often made like runny eggs or bacon that tastes burnt. Not so here. Greeneville waffle house is absolutely one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time and I drive a truck all over the country! My waitress was Kaylee and she was absolutely amazing!! Super friendly and very attentive to all her customers!!! Thank you Greeneville Waffle House for an amazing start of my Sunday!!!!
I didn't go inside. I was just with a friend in the car. The food seemed to be delicious, but from what I got from my friend that went inside, ordered, waited, and paid for the food, the service was good but the cook tried 3 times before his manager came and fixed the eggs for him lol! Training is the only thing that could have been the acceptable cause of the problem.
