There are some pretty bad reviews on here, maybe you just need to stay away from certain menu items. Our food was delicious and our service was great! The beef stew with lemongrass broth and udon was PHENOMENAL. Give it a try!
The meat was tough on the country beef plate, ordered 4 egg rolls to go they did not put in a to go box, table was dirty, had to get up and refill my water, my husband was never asked if he would like a refill on his drink. No one ever checked on us . There was only one other customer in the restaurant. So not busy. This was a great restaurant at one time we have always enjoyed coming here but today was not a good experience. We will not be back and I would not recommend anyone I know to dine here.
The spring rolls are the worst. The chicken in them have no flavor and seem to have been from boiled chicken . The peanut sauce is literally watered down peanut butter. Also the pho (fah) taste like nothing. And they give you a old mint leave on the stick. The chicken in this was boiled with no flavor. I definitely feel they were being hateful or just don’t know how to cook! The mint leave which is not necessary was soggy. Also the water for the soup is not hot enough to make the sprouts warm
This was only my second time ordering from Viet Rice, and I decided to try a recommendation from the server. I ordered the broken rice, and just as another reviewer mentioned, the pork was thin, dry, lacking flavor/sauce, and tasted old. I was surprised given that I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time. I also ordered the fresh spring rolls with shrimp, which were the worst I've ever had. No fresh herbs or veggies to give it crunch and flavor. The sauce was just ok. I didn't taste any passion in this food. The server was nice, but that's no reason to return. There are better and more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Albuquerque...Saigon City right off the 25 and Lime Vietnamese in the Heights are both really good.
First time visit. Shrimp Spring rolls were amazing, super fresh, high-quality ingredients. Footballs were a real treat, something I will definitely be back for. Main entré was Shrimp fried rice. It's very tasty. Service was incredible, and she was on top of it.
The food is ALWAYS delicious and fresh! 🥦🥕 The curry has wonderful flavor as do all the dishes that we have eaten here. I’ve been coming here for over 4 years and it’s my absolute favorite. They are very consistent with the food being perfect every time. My food is always fresh and hot. The staff are very attentive and PHENOMENAL humans! ❤️ Great find! Very clean and inviting. Definitely worth it! This is my absolute favorite restaurant.
Impressed with the food flavor. I recommend you try the egg noodles shrimp or chow fun noodle. The Thai tea was good but not the best. It didn’t taste like a strong tea with creamy flavor. Customer service was beyond great. Clean environment. 🤤 yummy
Great friendly staff. They are very attentive during your dining experience. The pho is a larger serving but lacks proteins. I wish they had a slight larger selection of pho you can order. But one of the few places that stays open past 8
