Food was very good as was the service but prices are a little high.
The place is unique and cozy. Seemingly an old office building with expanded floor space in different "rooms". The food was excellent, and I was particularly fond of the Italian dressing for my salad. The staff is friendly and descriptive. It was a quiet place. Seemingly too quiet. No ambient noises or music which can be good, but I could hear every silverware clank. This would be my only improvement would be soft, neutral music. Great place.
Service was slow and strange but food was great. We came in at 7:15 pm to meet friends that were already waiting at the table. Entrees were not served until 8:45 pm. The salad bar had nice variety and also came w/soup and bread. Wish they would of brought out bread or chips for the table, as the food took forever and everyone's appetizers and entrees came out at different times. My salmon mac was spectacular and made up for all the awkwardness. We were happy to find black bean burgers on the menu, which my husband said were delicious. Only based on the quality of food, I would give this place another try.
Food is always very good... never have had an issue with the quality of food here. Decent choice of beer (we always sit in Lounge/Bar area). Service in usually good... sometimes a little slow. One of our Favs when in the area.
The USG hamburger was very good. Sweet potato fries were delicious, served with butter, brown sugar and mayo for dipping. Cannot recommend the you guy hy lemonade was not the worst but definitely not the best. Chef salad was good. The food is 3.5 to 4 stars, the decor and cleanliness is 5 stars.
Really this place do for upgrade inside. It has smell in bad way when setting at table. I not understanding things on wall and bottles laying around all about. Just need get improvement so feel warm when first walk in. For food good meals and some not so good. But it's what it is.
I have read the other reviews and I guess Union Street must have improved greatly since then because my husband and I went there just this last Thursday and the food was TERRIFIC!! First off their Seasoned Fries were crisp and hot and quite tasty ideed, and their Ribs were incredibly "fall off the bone" good! We ordered them because of how delicious they smelled the moment we got to the podium where we waited to be seated. Though we did not order a dessert this time around as we were too full; we have had them on other occassions, and they are TO DIE FOR!! One of the owners makes them herself; Carrot Cake, Banana Cake, and Bread Pudding...YUM!!!
Great food and friendly service, topped off with a comfortable atmosphere.
