The popcorn chicken we ordered turned out to be the best I’ve ever had. The owner mentioned that they use chicken thigh meat, which explains why the chicken was juicy and flavourful without being dry. The crispy outer layer provided a delightful crunch, and the dish was surprisingly not greasy. It was a perfect combination of flavours and textures. The friendly owner and the overall cozy ambiance add to the charm of this hidden gem.

The popcorn chicken was awesome and the owners are friendly. I ordered the student lunch special for my daughter. We also ordered the small sized popcorn chicken, Frog Bang, and the taro bowl with grass jelly. We preferred eating the grass jelly without the peanuts. I asked if there is shaved ice with red bean. Jessica said that it can be ordered even though it is not on the menu.

FAMILY OWNED Been there couple times and we have tried lot of their drinks. The service is pretty quick. Unfortunately, this time they did not honor our Yelp coupon which we go from last check-in. This time we ordered Lychee oolong tea with Lychee bursts and Dragonfruit golden tea with Dragonfruit Bursts. We also ordered Popcorn chicken which was very good too.

This place is a hidden gem in Arlington Heights. The menu is pretty small but has a few tasty dishes, including my favorite popcorn chicken. It has a small kitchen, so the food takes a little time to prepare. Definitely plan ahead before ordering and be patient. Update: The popcorn chicken remains our favorite, but we have also discovered the beef noodle soup and the pork chop bento box. All of them are delicious. The food consistency has been excellent, and we have never been disappointed.

5/2023 Came in around 7pm, food came out within 15 min. Ordered “frog bang” milk tea which was the brown sugar. Came out good, with sweetness focused on the boba. Popcorn chicken was crispy and there was a lot. There were vegetables and rice too. Costs about $12.99 for the bento and $6.35 for the bubble tea. I would come again.

Tugo Tea House is amazing! Their popcorn chicken is crispy, light, and not too greasy with the perfect amount of crunch. And their beef noodle soup, sausage (even came with slices of garlic) and minced pork is so good. We ate outside because the weather was super nice and they even offered us a bowl to pour out the noodle soup from the take out containers. The bubble tea was super authentic too and taste just as good as Taiwan’s. Overall everything is so delicious and would definitely make the trip to come back!

After years of passing this place, I finally decided to try it and was not disappointed. The brown sugar milk tea was delicious, it wasn't too sweet or too unsweetened. The popcorn chicken is some of the best I've had, it was crispy and juicy but every bite had flavor. Can't wait to go back.

I live nearby and come here about once a week, it is easy to walk to. I always get a blended taro milk tea with mango jelly stars and a regular popcorn chicken. It is super delicious every single time! I’ve tried a couple of other things on the menu and they have all been good. The bento box is yummy, but takes a long time to prepare so keep that in mind if you are in a hurry for lunch. I like the noodles as well! I’m currently stuck at home with Covid, but the minute I am safe to be around others I will be heading straight for some chicken and tea at Tugos!
