As everyone said, the location is incredible! Right downtown, with beautiful views from the rooms. We were able to bring our two dogs!! The staff made them feel very welcome and it was easy to walk them from our room. We think they loved their stay here too! I was a little worried about cleanliness from reviews but we felt totally comfortable, and it was overall quite clean, just a bit dated! We (and the pups) will absolutely be back again!!

The location of the Tugboat is fabulous. Easy walk to everything in Booth Bay Harbor. Check in was easy and Windy (her real name) at the registration desk gave great suggestions for dinner in the area. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable but not modernized. There is no daily in room service so your making your own bed, however new towels, coffee and whatever else you may need is available at the office. We definitely would stay here again. We had a great time in Booth Bay Harbor!!

We stayed in Room 423, with 2 queens overlooking the harbor. Beds were very comfortable and enjoyed the view. Staff also very friendly and helpful. The only thing to be improved is shower cleanliness. There was mold when we arrived. Otherwise we had a great stay!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights for a mini-vacation and loved our stay here. It is in a fabulous location. Our room was large, clean, well appointed and had great views and a semi-private balcony was we especially liked.

What a lovely experience all around. We spent 3 nights in town at the Tugboat Inn, the service at the front desk was very friendly upon arrival. The service and atmosphere at the restaurant was amazing. Food was delicious and staff was so pleasant. The location is perfect, we parked our car for the weekend and we were able to walk literally everywhere. The rooms were a bit outdated but they were clean and fitting as the whole vibe of the town is quaint and old. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in room 413 and really enjoyed being able to wake in the morning to the sight and sounds of the harbor. The atmosphere was quiet, inviting and relaxing. There was not housekeeping service, which is fine with us since we don't like anyone in our room when we stay anywhere. However, when we were in need of anything it was supplied promptly and with a smile. There was one fine young housekeeper that I asked for toilet paper and he immediately went and got it and was so polite. We will definitely recommend Tugboat Inn to anyone going to Boothbay Harbor and we will be back.

The location is the main reason to stay at the Inn provided you have a sea view room on the upper floor with a balcony. The rooms are large but now very dated, especially the bathrooms. The rooms need upgrading if nothing else, to justifiy the expensive room rates. There is no automatic housekeeping, which seems to be the way of the world at the moment, at least in our experience in the Maine/Massachusetts area. If you are in the area, do visit the Tugboat restaurant, it provides exceptionally good sea food. The broiled scallops were first class so too the haddock, and whilst chips (fries) are not something I would normally eat, I must say they were so excellent I ate them all. The secret to their crispness seemingly being the slight dusting of semolina. Ten of ten for the food - so good we went there twice.

Positive: This is an older hotel but was so charming! We stayed in room 332 and had a great view of the bay. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We had a semiprivate balcony. Restaurants and shops were easy to walk to.
