User Reviews

What an amazing place! I moved here from New York City so I have a pretty high standard for restaurants. Not only were the rolls impeccable, but the salad and soup were on point as well. The chefs were highly skilled, and the server was extremely prompt and friendly. I’m sure anybody from California complaining in their review is just looking for reasons to complain because it doesn’t apply to this place. I was even gifted a free chef special roll that was out of this world! I will definitely be back.

Visited for lunch and had a few lunch specials. Came in very hungry but food was just enough. Fish was fresh and service was good.

I had Sashimi Deluxe. Excellent and fresh fish; beautiful presentation and wonderful service.

Being from California, perhaps my reviews biased. Out of the 5 rolls we ordered, only 1 roll was something I’d order again. The texture of the spicy tuna wasn’t something I enjoyed. Seaweed salad = good but pricey for portion. Shrimp appetizer = seemed like frozen shrimp that was small in size & pricey. Staff was friendly and food came out fairly quick.

Delicious sushi at a quaint, locally owned restaurant. It is also BYOB with a liquor store close by. Good for a date night or group outing. My recent visit was with a work group for dinner and the large love boats made ordering easy!

Ordered the chirashi and tempura banana. Both were so good that I would definitely come back. The sashimi tasted very fresh and I love this presentation of a chirashi. The service was also great! No complaints here

I really didn’t want to post this review. However, I’ve been coming to Tsuru for the past ten years and as of lately the quality of food and customer service have gone downhill. Not only that, but they have significantly increased their prices that do not reflect the quality of the food. Will advise family and friends to avoid from now on. Really disappointed as this was once one of my favorite spots in town.

While the sushi is good, we are frequent customers, the owner is rude when taking orders on the phone and very unhelpful. I left a cc there the night before inside the black billfold and when I called she insisted the card was not there and said I should just cancel the card. When I arrived shortly after I asked our waitress from the evening prior to please check the billfolds and sure enough it was sitting inside the top one. The owner never bothered to look or assist me, then tried to lie about it claiming she had looked. I dine there or takeout several times per month. Her rudeness and unhelpfulness is the last straw. I'll never dine in or order from there again. Plenty of good sushi in the area. No need to go to Tsuru ever.
