Got the chicken club and it was really good. It looked more like a burger than a normal club sandwich. The bacon was thick and crispy which added some nice texture. We also got the shrimp tacos, they were packed with favor which was delicious and somewhat surprising. The food was a little expensive but everywhere is expensive nowadays, for the quality of food and atmosphere I would definitely come back again.
Their food is wonderful and very tasty, but service is slow. It took them about 20 minutes just to take our order, and then another 30 to bring us omlette and sandwich. Then, when they brought us our bill, I had to literally approach an employee at a bar asking to charge us because no one was approaching our table to pick up the card. And it wasn't crowded at all. Again, this is a great place, if you want to enjoy good food, but when you're not rushing up.
I am a fan of Truxtons and today I tried the Torrence location. It is very cozy! We chose to sit in the covered front patio which had a nice breeze. Inside was nice too, but darker. It was a beautiful day so we opted to sit where we could have the sunshine come through the window. Kaitlyn, our server was the Best! She was patient and allowed my friend and I to take our time to decide on the many options on the menu. Kaitlyn was very attentive with a smile! I chose the Chicken Tinga Bowl and my friend, the small Truxtons salad with cheese on the side and just lemon wedges instead of salad dressing. She also ordered a side of fruit. My Tinga bowl was very filling, spicy and tasty. The interior of the restaurant has a bar as well as booths and tables. The single unit gender bathrooms are clean and nice. Next time I am on this neighborhood, I will definitely stop in. Truxtons has healthy good options for everyone.
This is the weekend brunch spot for my girlfriend and me. The food is great but the staff here is what really sets this place apart. They are super friendly and when we come on weekends for brunch we are always so well taken care of. We do miss the $10 per bottle mimosa deals but the current $15 price is still tough to beat. Shoutout to our frequent server Jessica for always making us feel at home and for going above and beyond 💕 My usual go to is the Cracken sandwich but today we had the totchos and I think that's what I will be ordering next time as well! For any LGBTQIA+ potential customers, know that in my experience the staff here will treat you just like any other customer and make you feel welcome and safe. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough and thanks again to the fantastic staff for their excellent service!
A friend brought me to Truxton's American Bistro, located in the Hillside Village Shopping Center for a late lunch. Their menu has a well balanced mix of dishes to satisfy any appetite. I ordered one of their Favorite items on their Menu, the Sweet & Spicy Shrimp Tacos which is served with corn and poblano brown rice and black beans or your choice of a side. I chose their side of Sweet potato Fries. I loved it! The slaw on top was refreshing and delicious and their shrimp was seasoned in a perfect harmony of sweet and spicy. Our server was so friendly and efficient. I would come here again and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Truxton is one of those rare gems you find when looking for a brunch spot. It’s hard to find a place where every single thing you get served has care and effort shining. Even their napkins, utensils and plates are not cheap looking. Servers are very nice all the time. And their food? Higher quality and taste than you pay for!!! Very tasty!!! They have catering too!
We’ve been to Truzton’s before and would have given it 5 ⭐️, but the service was noticeably slower tonight. That was the food delivery was slow, our waiter was reasonably attentive. Still great food. Really enjoyed the Shanghai bowl and the wife had the fish tacos.
I have been here twice and both times the food and drinks have been amazing! New timer joined and could not believe how good the Mac and Cheese and shrimp were prepared and tasted. Drinks were on point and service was top notch. Benjamin was the best waiter. Talked to every patron like a regular. Super chill and cool guy. Will be coming back.
