Breakfast Menu "Troy's Caribbean & Soul Food" Odenton

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We went in at the end of the day, I thought the hours were longer. Customer service is top notch, I ordered Red Snapper eschovitched and King fish with rum cake. These dishes take a little longer than other offerings, but our order was still taken five minutes before and filled. The food was good and I will definitely be returning, if for nothing more than the graciousness. I can eat an entire one of their rum cakes too😋

1st timer!! My co worker recommended this spot to me and im a hard person to win over. But he did! Im new to this area and the best part is i live close to this spot!!! This spot is right near the military base, and its a small spot, i drove by this place so many times and never knew but im glad i know nowwww!!! Lol. Man the owner does it all! From taking orders on the phone to showing up and the owner tony is in the back cooking and taking the payment lol. The service was very friendly, authentic, its nice to meet a good brother doing his thing. I ate inside because it was pouring down raining, tony keep checking on me and my co worker, making sure the food was good. Like they say if you dont hear much talking it must be good hahha. This was my 1st time but wont be my last! Thanks to tony and to my co worker for the refferal! I cant wait to tell my wife and friends! Dont miss out on the real authentic Jamaican food!!! Best in the area!!!!!!

Great vibes. I enjoy supporting locally owned businesses. Important note: If you are ordering the fish it takes about 25 minutes, so you might want to call that one in in advance. The food here is pretty delicious and reminds me of food I have eaten on the islands. The portions are very generous and so it is definitely worth the price. The staff is wonderful. Dont forget to try the cakes, huge slices and YUM! Every time I am in town, I drive completely out of the way to get here.

Great no frills mom and pop joint. I got the fried shrimp lunch special with rice & peas and cabbage. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and I added some stew gravy to the rice to make it perfect. I got two patties which were good. For under $12 dollars I had a great tasting and filling lunch.

The worst roti I have ever had. When I called, I asked if the roti was wrapped. I got this roti in a to go thing. It was like they put the curry in and placed the roti skin on top. I tried to pick this thing up and the curry was falling out of the bottom. The potatoes weren't totally cooked they were hard. I also ordered a chicken patty. It was burnt. And hard. I am from Trinidad. This is the worst I have ever had

Best Caribbean / Jamaican food in the area .. great customer service .. easy access and parking .. I highly recommend

My husband and I really tried to give the restaurant a chance. First time we went, we thought the fried catfish was great, but the cabbage and rice was not seasoned well. The beef patties are good! The second time I tried different sides- yams and collards, which were better sides but my husband’s oxtail was not tender and they only had one beef patty left, so our order wasn’t complete. The third time, they again, did not have something we ordered, was not willing to make the change we requested because of a 4.00 difference in price (we used Door Dash for delivery) and then had the wrong sides with my order when it arrived. We think it’s important to support small businesses during this time, but we won’t be ordering from here again.

I would've gave them another star if they had mac and cheese and collard greens left. I'll go back tomorrow for some.
