Great food, the best root beer! I first had a triple xxx root beer about 5 years ago. It's definitely one of my favorites! I looked up to see where I could get more and found out about this place and the history. At that moment I knew I needed to come eat here. Well it took a while but I finally made it, and it's definitely worth the trip!

Classic diner on the Purdue campus. Famous for their XXX root beer and burgers. Had the Purvis All American burger with Peanut butter. Excellent! Think Thai peanut sauce. Better than you think. Sat at the very end of the front counter and got to talk to the owner. What a character! So nice and friendly. Took good care of us👍 Very crowded due to it being move in weekend for Freshman at Purdue, but we really didn't wait that long. Fries were awesome too🤣

We ordered carry-out for our food (See photos). They look different than those photos I saw on other reviews. The food: Our side orders portion is smaller than what we got from another local restaurant. For the Burgers, we were expected to have one patties for the 1/3 lb burger. However, all our orders were used the same thin patties. The different between the 1/4 lb burger and 1/3 lb burger is 1/4 lb burger come with 2 pcs and 1/3 lb burger with 3 pcs. Also there is no different between steak burger and regular burger, they all look the same and I cannot tasted the difference. Onion rings are greasy and you can see how much oil is on the bottom of the box. The Sundae, it was only little over about half of the cup. For our To-Go order, we got no ketchup, salt, pepper or napkin. In my experience, MacDonald will at lease asked you if you want some condiment and napkin or not. We were disappointed since this place was recommended as one of the best restaurant in the area.

The root beer is good and the service fun and cheerful. The burger was good but I can't help but wonder that if that makes them that good with no seasoning, how good would they be even with just a little salt and maybe pepper.

Fantastic place to stop and grab a quick bite. It can easily get very busy especially when Purdue is in session. We stop here every chance we get. I always get the Duane Purvis (cheeseburger with peanut butter) and the onion rings. Can’t go wrong with either. Highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Triple XXX Root beer and Burgers in an old diner style setting. We enjoyed our lunch at the counter inside. The outside dining is in an old drive in style area. Great dining experience.

Great “greasy spoon” type diner. Root Beer was delicious and the food offerings are a little more eclectic than your typical diner.

My hubby wanted to eat here since he hadn't had the experience while attending Purdue 4 decades ago. That's the first positive. This joint has lasted. They "do them" with no pretense! This was a first for me also, 1st time hearing the name, first time ordering, and the 1st time eating bacon eggs and pancakes outside under the night sky. It was very good. Thanks, Dillon, for your hustle, efficiency, and good service.
