The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. The service was very good. I had the stuffed pork chop and my wife had the chicken Florentine. The pork chop was stuffed with spinach and cheese. The pork chop with the spinach was too salty for my taste. The chicken Florentine sauce was also too salty. The sauce for both dishes, had either been overheated or something, because both sauces had separated when they were on the plate. The flavor to both dishes was good. Other than being a little salty. The dumplings were great. The tiramisu was OK. It wasn’t the best I had but it wasn’t the worst that I had either, the price is at this restaurant or pretty standard for what food cost today. The stuffed pork chop, the chicken, Florentine, and tiramisu was just under $55. The parking was street parking. And 5 PM you no longer have to pay for the meter.

A hidden gem! Homemade Italian with amazing portions. Must try! We stopped a second time and were just as pleased.

My husband and I had our first date at their original location and South Sioux City 11 years ago. Now that they have moved downtown it is closer to our house but still has the authentic Italian dishes. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a unique place for lunch or dinner.

Such an AWESOME dining experience! I wasn't expecting something this good and authentic in Sioux City, but Trattoria Fresco is the big deal! Easy to find the location, and great parking. Laid-back but super personable service. Great menu and very accommodating. The linguini and clams were superb, and that was literally, the best cannoli I've ever eaten. Don't hesitate to try this place! Some of the best food I've had outside of Italy itself.

This place is AWESOME! It is a perfect "date night" place in Sioux City. Makes you feel like you step away and just enjoy. It's definitely a gem, and we are lucky to have this place. Its a MUST go, if you haven't already.

Very good local Italian place. Although I know plenty would be fond of my main course, it was very very tomato based, which I’m not a fan of. However, it was still pretty good. Someone who likes a heavy base of tomatoes would like it even more. Fresh bread and real butter was good and kept coming. Salad was quite flavorful and good. The lemon cake was suggested for desert, which I accepted as a choice. It was good, but I think I’d enjoy something else as much or more, even though it was quite good. Staff is friendly and conversational. They stay attentive to your table. Something I’d be interested in going back again to see what else they may have that I’d maybe even like better. I’m comfortable believing there are more really good things to try, so will be looking forward to another visit.

Just had lunch here with friends from Yankton. It was delightful. The prices & the portions were very good. Will definitely be back again & we agreed that my friends need to come over & we will have dinner here. So many items on the menu sound delicious.

I went for dinner and arrived at shortly after 6pm and there wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant. The first thing I noticed is that there was a smell in there. I couldn’t put my finger on what it smelled like, but I continued to smell it my whole time there and it wasn’t pleasant. I was told to sit anywhere, so I chose a booth between two occupied booths. It took over 10 mins for the server to greet me and to give me a menu. After another 5 mins, he finally came back to take my order. I ordered the Rigatoni al Forno and confirmed it came with marinara sauce. My server brought me some crusty bread and luckily for me there were (7) pcs of bread, little did I know I would eat each and every one. The bread was really good. After about 10 mins I received my pasta and the first thing I noticed when I tasted it was the sauce was sweet. It tasted like a sweet pizza sauce. It might be fine on their pizza’s; it wasn’t good on the pasta. The pasta seemed to be cooked ok as far as firmness, but overall, I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I'm really glad I had bread to help fill me up. Then at the end of the meal, after he collected my plates, it took my server 5 more mins to tell me my check was at the counter where you pay. I eat by myself, and I consider myself a fast eater, I was in this place for 1 hr 10 mins and that was WAY TOO LONG for what you got. There was nothing about this experience that would make me want to come back. Next time, I’ll pass…
