Dated decor inside but I found that part of the unique ambiance. Many choices on the menu but we stuck with the chicken sandwich, which was fine. Fun to listen to the kitchen staff yell back and forth- reminds me of the snl skit. Definitely will go back.

I stopped here for lunch and the place was really busy, but the drive thru and counter service. After a short wait I placed my order for ½ order of hot turkey and ½ order of hot beef so I could try both. This is one of the only places I have ever seen the ½ order available, it’s a great idea. They brought my food to my table and the first thing I noticed was the turkey sandwich not only had mashed potatoes, but it also had stuffing, all generously coated in gravy. The Turkey was tender and flavorful. It was a good portion considered it was a ½ order. The beef came with mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef looked dry, but it tasted good. The gravy was also good tasting. If I had to say anything, the mashed potatoes needed salt, which is an easy fix table side. Other than that, this was a great meal for the money and the ½ orders are really nice to see, I wish more places had that. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.

Usually a decent place but this was our “half pound” of cheese balls for over $9. I went in and the lady said this is how they come. Waste of money.

We had not been there for a long time. We were not disappointed with our lunch.its an old place but always clean. We gad onion rings, super large tenderloin and a grilled chicken salad.

Been here a couple times at the beginning of the year. In the last 2 months I have been here a total of three times. Definitely won’t be back anytime soon. The quality of food as gone down hill. Baked potato was dry and the edges was burnt. Corn was cold found a hair in our food. Took them 20 minutes for the food to come out. 3 to go orders and a table that came in after us all got there food before us. Staff doesn’t seem to have much energy to do anything at work. Kitchen staff was talking about football and seemed passionate about that. If they put that passion into cooking like they do talking about football then the food would be decent. Definitely don’t recommend coming in during the evening. Breakfast is better.

I love this place - not many of these left. I stop whenever I'm traveling through Fort Dodge, IA. You can get comfort food (like beef commercial plate), burgers, pie. It's connected to a Dairy Queen in this location, so that is available also. Dining area has a small town cafe feel. No Beef Wellington here, but good food at a good price.

Come here every year when I come home for Mom's birthday! She loves the fish sandwich and I love anything on the menu! You guys have carried this fabulous restraint on since I was a little kid!!

Myself and 3 other friends came in for lunch, they served 1 person with a hamburger right away, then served me my 3 piece chicken dinner about 5 minutes later. After 40 minutes they started to bring bring the chicken orders, another 1 in our party did get the 2 piece chicken dinner she had ordered but the last one in our party still had not been served. I went up to ask about her order an hour after the order was made and the manager on duty started yelling at the staff! Mainly yelling at the young lady who had taken the orders. She had not done anything wrong. Then the manager continued yelling at other employees and was yelling louder and louder. As customers, we felt very stressed and uncomfortable and extremely bad for the staff. None of the employees deserved to be humiliated like that, and we as customers did not deserve to be felt so uncomfortable. The place had quite a few patrons and we all were very quiet while the manager was going on his tangent. I’m just in the area for a holiday weekend, but I won’t return. Also when the 4th person in our party did get her chicken it was very over cooked and dry. She did get some free pieces of pie to take home with her though.
