This review is regarding desserts: I came here on a whim, and left feeling... a little disappointed. I tried the Tiramisu and the Cheesecake, two of the recommended desserts. Each dessert was $7 + tax The cheesecake: It is.... incredibly small. It is $7 for a sample size. To be precise, they give small boxes for the desserts, of which the cheesecake takes a tiny fraction of space. It's the size of a $3 cheesecake, it's literally a sample size. And it wasn't even good! If you took a $4 slice from vons, and added more sugar, it would taste like this. I was upset when I saw the cheesecake, but opted to give it a chance and taste it. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't very good. So, now I feel mad. The Tiramisu is the only reason why I am not entirely infuriated, because it was good. The size is much more reasonable, and the quality of the Tiramisu is good. Not the greatest thing ever, but 7 bucks is a fair price for sure. But... Overall, I feel disappointed. $15 for a mediocre experience is not something I'd like to repeat. I want my money back, but it doesn't even feel like it's worth the effort to drive all the way back and say "hey, this cheesecake sucks" and cause a scene over $7. I'm just going to leave this review here so I remember to never come here again.

The arugula salad was tasty. Egg plant parmesan was luscious. Shrimp risotto was so so. Staff was attentive. Getting the check took a little longer. Best Italian I've had in months.

Wow! We had a great time here with friends last week! I ordered the veal saltimbocca, and it was terrific in every way. Others at the table had Choippino or Pasta and all were singing praises. Our server was attentive and the owner visited the table as well. All very nice. We shared a great bottle of wine.... they have a nice selection to choose from too. I would call this as semi up scale place, great for date night or for dinner after the car show in La Mesa on a summer Thursday evening.

Excellent food and service at reasonable prices, we got the check and my wife thought they had forgot to add something.

Small cozy Italian restaurant. When we came at 5pm on a Friday we had the place to ourselves for about an hour. They have an extensive menu and daily specials. A good sized wine list as well. Booths line both walls and a few tables in between. There's also a small outdoor dining area perfect for pets and people watching. The waitstaff were attentive and super nice. Good food. Various breads and oil and vinegar when you are seated. Delish. I'll be back. -The area has a lot of foot and car traffic and metered parking can be difficult to come by.

Great service. Good food, reasonable prices. Many people come but you can still hear your own conversation. Surprised, they have bottles of wine for sale. My friend liked the house cabernet. Shock, bottle was only $8. I love the calamari, the chocolate torte. ( the best!) Friend had lamb shank and loved it with tiramisu for dessert. Wine, pinot grigo and house cab. Pleasant evening. Will come back.

Took my in laws, grandparents and wife there. Everything was excellent. We celebrated Grandpa 89th birthday. So awesome.

Disappointing. not even anyone else there and poor service took a long time to get my food. nice enough but never even asked how it was or offered to refill my water. maherghita pizza has just regular cheese and lacks flavor. had to offer hot pepper to be edible. large and decent price but my homemade is tastier and could have made from scratch in the time i waited. great reviews and wanted to find a new local place to go but no luck. maybe just a bad one off and might try again
