I'm incredibly excited to share my exceptional experience at the Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor, Washington. Not only did the Tavern exceed my culinary expectations, but the overall journey, which included a delightful kayaking trip, has left me with memories I will cherish for a lifetime. Our adventure began with a kayaking trip on a beautiful August day. The sun was shining, the sky was a vibrant blue, and the water a calm mirror reflecting the beauty of the world around us. As we paddled our way towards Tides Tavern, we were greeted by the sight of the charming and historic building, a beacon guiding us in from our journey on the water. Upon our arrival, we were immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Tides Tavern. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and immediately attended to our needs, ensuring that our kayaks were safely stowed and that we were comfortably settled in. The service at Tides Tavern was nothing short of excellent. Each member of the staff was attentive, kind, and professional, making us feel right at home. Their commitment to providing top-tier customer service was evident in every interaction. We indulged in an array of house-made food that was as impressive as the service. Each dish showcased the fresh, local flavors of Gig Harbor, ensuring a satisfying meal that exceeded our expectations. Our visit to Tides Tavern was more than just a lunch stop on our kayaking trip; it was a highlight of our day, a place where food, service, and location came together to create a truly memorable experience. To anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience in Gig Harbor, I highly recommend kayaking to Tides Tavern. Their exceptional service, delicious food, and the unforgettable journey to get there truly make it a destination worth visiting.

Definitely lived up to the hype! I love good food with a great view, and the added perk here is that if the weather doesn't cooperate the inside atmosphere is nice and cozy. There is parking, but it gets crowded quickly. Another perk is that if it is a long wait, you can go to Maritime Pier and hang out there while you wait.

We were boating in Puget Sound and visiting the area. This was recommended by our club attendant and the great thing is that they have a dock. The servers on the dock were helpful and helped us dock. We had kids under 18 years old so we can’t take them in the tavern. This was not an issue since it was a beautiful day & we can eat our orders in our boat. We also saved $$ since we had our own drinks. We enjoyed the food, the service, and the view from our boat.

My husband and I visited tides tavern this evening for a date and we had a great time. The bar selection is great, I ordered the berry orange creamsicle cocktail and rum punch cocktail and both were very good. We ordered the steamed clams appetizer and it was a good amount of clams and was delicious, full of flavor. We really went for the lobster rolls which were full of four ounces of Maine lobster and delicious. Even the French fries tasted homemade and delicious. Overall the service was fast and the food was good.

We dropped in for lunch on a Wednesday in June without reservation. No problem getting seated right away as long as it is inside. Service was friendly and efficient. St Louis Burger was tasty but the fries were undercooked and not crispy. The Reuben sandwich was tasty and filling but the side salad was fresh but nothing really special and the blue cheese dressing was too creamy without much taste.

We love to grab and go from Tide's but yesterday's food and service wasn't great. They were busy with the dock full so I had some grace. We ordered online 2 meals with utensils added. We got a pop up saying pick up will be 30 minutes. I understood and was grateful for the info. We picked up, I asked if utensils were in the bag, lady said yes, I left. When we finally got to our destination, there were no utensils. Luckily I had plastic spoons stashed in my car but I was pretty frustrated. My cobb salad had 6 pieces on chicken and 1 was a fat piece. They used to give a lot more so that was also disappointing. I'm hoping it's just because of the busy night they were having. Hope this isn't going to be an issue next time.

Amazing waterfront bar in Gig Harbor. Well light and decorated with local memorabilia, the Tides is energetic and gets very busy for good reason. The food, waterfront harbor views, and atmosphere are fantastic. I enjoy the clam chowder, and the pizzas are delicious. One thing management might consider changing is the parmesan packets that are impossible to open by hand. Maybe revert to parmesan shakers and dispense with the impractical single use packets packaging. Or find a brand that designed the packaging for everyday human use. The seafood is amazing too. Visit the Tides to enjoy a Lively and fun neighborhood atmosphere.

Birthday dinner for my husband mid afternoon on a Wednesday. We were able to get a waterfront table. A seal poked its head out and said hi. The King Salmon burger and fish and chips were generously portioned. Great selection of beers, the Rum Punch was delightful. Skylar was very nice and accommodating!
