All the dishes were excellent and authentic!! The service was so kind and welcoming. I have already came here once before and both times the service and food was excellent! I am Indian and I have tried several Indian restaurants in Texas and California, and this is definitely the #1 spot for Indian food for me!!
Literally the BEST Indian food I’ve had so far in Southern California. I’ve been around the U.S. a few times and have Indian food all over. This place dang near blew my socks off! POW!! Bring your appetite, the portions are so big! Sharing is caring! Everything is so delicious. I received complimentary dessert which was delicious. Everything is so good and soO authentic. Trust me when I say, you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Also, the staff are extremely responsive and you will not wait for ANYTHING!
Sublime 😌 Saturday dinner. Best Indian food ever, in America. With vegan friendly opinions. Thank you Raj... and team. The service most friendly, warm and welcoming 🙏 . The smell of the cooking field my hart and senses, tacking me back home to a warm loving childhood. Children of the proprietor folded and decorated paper airplanes ✈️ so fun to share how to direct airflow that would give lift and duration to the plain toss. Atmosphere of friendly family enjoying best food ever. A must to visit.
I came here tonight during a road trip. I arrived at 9:10pm (they close at 10:00 on Thursdays). I was worried that I might be unwelcome because it was late. They were highly welcoming. The food was great. They gifted me a Aloo Tikka plate. I have never had before. It was great. I ordered the lamb korma combo. I wanted the garlic naan, and the rice anyway, so adding the raita and the other side was a plus. Everything was great. I highly recommend. Photos before naan came out.
Our time at the Taj was nothing short of magical. A fortuitous google search led us to this Ventura-gem. The service was incredible, our waiters checked in on us frequently, and the food came out lickety SPLIT! As a group that was mixed vegetarian and regular diet, we had a plethora of options to choose from. The samosas were excellent, as was the yogurt (don’t skip out on it)! Beyond a lovely standard service, we were graced with ginger lemonade and kheer for dessert, all ON THE HOUSE! The atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant staying open until 11 was a real plus! A must experience place when in Ventura.
Incredible place to eat and relax with a view of the street to people watch and take in the sea breeze. Probably one of the very best Indian restaurants in SoCal.
Had a wonderful dinner with many flavors. We are gluten-free and the restaurant is very accommodating. We started with the vegetable pakora with 3 or 4 dipping sauces. Excellent! Then Butter Lamb Curry, rich and creamy tomato sauce, over saffron rice! Delicious! Gluten free bread and ended with rice pudding. The servers are attentive! They all check on the tables! Very refreshing! We'll be back!
