Breakfast Menu "The Star on Grand" Oakland

We reserved a table for dinner for a large group (12+). The server was delightful and very attentive! The menu is expansive, so we ordered appetizers and pizzas to share across the table. The food was delicious, some of the best pizza I've had in a while!! I would highly recommend a visit to The Star on Grand!!

This place bested my expectations. I had tried a pie for delivery at a going away party for a friend in graphic design and advertising. It was great. Good drink selection, draft beers looked good. Ah only dry rub baked wings…hmmm They ended up being delightful The real star of the show was that fennel Italian sausage sandwich. Great peppers. Vibe is dim lit but social Cheers

Clean, modern looking appearance. The deep dish meatball pizza was incredible. It had Ricotta cheese portions which I hadn't had before and I was blown away by how good this pizza was. Really awesome. Also kid friendly with crayons and fill in placemats for the young ones. TVs above the bar to watch the game. Grand avenue is pretty busy so you might have to walk a little bit to park. Highly recommend.

We were a party of 20 plus. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. She made a mistake with one couple's order (it didn't get to the kitchen somehow) so she comped the meal and 2 drinks! I had the Detroit Pizza. It was awesome... And I like thin crust pizzas. It is a little like a deep dish focaccia, but cheesy and crisp on the outside of the crust, and the sauce is on top! Give it a shot!!

Good service, cool atmosphere and they play great music. The veggie deep dish pizza was tasty and bbq chicken thin crust was delicious.

Well considering when we ordered our drinks 1st they were out of the wine we wanted, next they didn't have Hennessey, the waitress was kind enough to give of 2 shots of whiskey on the house SuperNice for that... we ordered the deep dish with veggies and meat... it was ok. The crust seemed really over cooked maybe just not my preference but it didn't have that pizza taste... would go back to try the other style pizza they offer. The service was outstanding , the restaurant was clean, I would try it again!

A Bite into Happiness! Finally a place for a great deep dish pizza in Oakland. Visited the place for the first time last night with my wife and we ordered to go. With about 45 minutes to go before closing for the day there were just couple tables were occupied plus one customer at the bar. Despite the lateness crew was very attentive to our questions and requests. Place has a "clean, sober almost introspective" atmosphere. I liked it very much. Food quality unquestionable! Pizza has a lot of filling, not just Tomato Sauce, like some other places. Chicken Wings also spice just right. Definitely the place to go with family and friends to enjoy great food. Parking area to the side of the building is small so depending on what time of the day you go parking may be a challenge.

It's definitely one of the best places to get pizza in Oakland!! I tried their California pizza a few days ago, and it was simply fantastic 👌 😋 Another interesting thing about this place was that there's many options to make your pizza, from flat to extra crusty and crunchy! Give it a try! Before I forget! Their vanilla and chocolate cheesecakes are simple. Not sugary if you don't like that much of sweetness 😀
