The savory spoon gets 5 stars from my wife and I. First of all, once you walk in your are greeted with a smile. The ambience in the place is very comfortable. It has a very home style charm. Next our server John, who you can't miss. Great personality, nice smile, wonderful with kids, and built like a tank. He makes you feel like family and his service is with out a doubt. One of the best in Redding. Next the food, my wife ordered the use Julianna which is a meatball sandwich and I ordered the trip tip sandwich. My 3 year old enjoyed her food. Let me just say, they serve real home cooked food. Just mouth watering. Our drinks never ran dry. I highly recommend this place to anyone. You won't regret it.

Amazing service, waiters are very knowledgeable about the menu. One of the best vegetarian choices in Redding. Options available for almost every meal ranging from gluten free alternatives, to meat, or the vegetarian Monty alternative. Nice decor, with excellent food, and amazing service. Recommended for families, or just someone looking for a good meal. Also has free wifi for those interested.

We came here for breakfast and were absolutely WOWED by the amazing food and service we received. I got the California Scramble with a side of biscuits and gravy, and my wife got the Breakfast Burrito with sausage. The food was fresh and tasty and worth every penny we paid. Our server John was outstanding! He was friendly and attentive to our needs. Couldn't have asked for a more professional server! We will definitely be eating here again.

While the bacon burger, fries, and potato salad I had was very tasty, the price was too much. I believe it was around $15-18. That wouldn't have been too bad, but I've had a bigger portion of fries at McDonald's and the potato salad was in a tiny cup, taking only two bites to finish. As flavorful as the burger was, though, I'd go back. The service was fairly quick and the waitress efficient and friendly.

My new (and only) favorite restaurant. I LOVE this place! If I had read that it was vegan, I probably would have hesitated as I'm not a vegan. But, the menu is diverse, the food servers are professional and actually say "you're welcome" instead of NO PROBLEM, (UGH! a major pet peeve) and the food is amazing! (I had the chicken piccata for dinner and chicken something for lunch - I don't remember but it was good). I'm going there for my birthday cause this restaurant raises the Redding bar !

I went there last week for the first time, and I really loved the quality of food, the atmosphere, and the services. I had tri tip with horseradish on top of garlic bread. I not only loved the idea of this combination, but it was cooked perfectly. The tri tip was cold and tender, and it was great combo. My wife had a mediterranean salad; it had feta, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, and a special hummus sauce. I'm not so into salads, but it was pretty good. The atmosphere was very homey but modern. It felt comfortable, and the decor had a good balance between rustic and soft colors. I don't know much about interior design, but it had a good feel to it. The exterior looks like part of a castle, with a bunch of random businesses around it (I think if they had several restaurants in there, this would be happening spot). The service was excellent: A friendly host, and waitress who went over and beyond what I thought she would do, it being a Friday and all. She was nice and friendly, and didn't have corporate name tags. This is one of my new favorite restaurants in Redding. I'm impressed. I'll have to go there for lunch.

I LOVE this place. I wish I could go more. The service was awesome, the food was perfect, and the location is not bad. The price is high, compared to other places in Redding, but honestly, my favorite food in Redding is mostly here. So, you get what you pay for. LOTS of alternative options...this is a great place to go if you or your friends have special dietary needs. Just a great place.

The Savory Spoon is that and a bag of chips. :-) How many times have you wanted to find a place that has real home prepped like meals with a splash of home cozy? This is that the place, to be honest I'm kind of reluctant to give up this little honey hole, but hey, their local and I love supporting local 100%.
