User Reviews

I hate to say it because I normally give rave reviews of most restaurants. It was an okay experience. We encountered three staff persons during our visit. I saw one smile from one person the entire visit. Either they were having a rough lunch service or just weren't very pleased to be there. The food was okay and there were a lot of twists on traditional dishes. Everything in my opinion was very salty. There was nothing Bland to be found for sure. A lot of the sides were pretty much unidentifiable without tasting them. I did find the fried fish, okra, cold salad bar, and blackberry cobbler to be highlights of the offerings. The plethora of odd casseroles made of corn, broccoli, and other ingredients; down to the pecans in what I'm not sure was either sweet potatoes or pumpkin left me wondering what the intent of the dishes were. The dining room showed its age. The chair I sat in creaked and leaned and I was concerned I was going to end up on the floor. It did hold for the rest of the meal. I did the math on a $15 Buffet for two people at $32.10 in my head and my cashier presented me with a bill for $34.78. I explained we only had the two buffets. She went to our server and fixed the bill. I handed her $43 assisted her in making correct change. It was an all right experience but compared to other buffet meals within 100 miles this one was down near the bottom. I wouldn't discourage anyone from eating there. There was good food to be found and for $15 it was an acceptable value just not at the top of my list. I have mixed feelings on whether I'm happy that I didn't go for the $50 special meal on Friday night to be let down or perhaps because of that occasion they pull out all the stops and it might have been a better experience. On a more positive note maybe it was just an off day and I'm still willing to return there and give that restaurant a second chance because it definitely has potential to be a great meal.

one of the driest tenderloins I've ever had. not worth the effort to finish and we didn't. very bland as well. I've had close to a hundred tenderloins in Indiana and I put this in the bottom five. coleslaw was delicious and the french fries nice and crispy. everything came in aluminum foil, so that was nice as it was all all recyclable

My husband and I traveled almost an hour to specifically have lunch here. We were greeted by a sweet hostess and server. We started with the salad bar. It was nice, then it all went down hill from there. The food was not hot, chicken was very dry other food was just okay. This was right at 12:15 a time you would expect the buffet to be hot and fresh. The main concern was a young man brought a cart full of pans of food for the steam table. As I approached the buffet he bent down and mopped up the floor with the towel we was using to transfer the pans. When I asked him if he was using the same towe. he stated, yes he was it is not a problem. When I mentioned it to our server she apologized and said she would let her boss know. She walked to the steam table and told a lady that was checking the steam table and told her. I assume she was the "boss" as she came over and told us she was sorry, but it was just natural instinct because that is what you do at home. I told her no we don't do that at home. She said well I talked with him and told him he shouldn't do it. I explained she walked straight from the buffet to our table so I knew she hadn't spoke with him. We were seated the first table from the "hot" bar. She said well, he came back and told me. REALLY??????Dishonesty will not get a person anywhere. Yes, we paid our $30 something bill and won't return. I sure hope the board of health sees this and watches this establishment.

We must have gotten there at a good time. The food was fresh and therefore delicious! Ppl waiting on us were quick and friendly. Would recommend it to others

We had the buffet. It was $15. The buffet is loaded. There are numerous salad options: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, peppers, cole slaw, potato salad, jello, etc, and several different soups. The main entrees were fish, fried chicken(fabulous), hamburgers, pizza, meatloaf, tenderloins. Vegetables included broccoli/rice dish, cheesy hash brown potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, etc. They also had homemade Cinnamon rolls - so good. There is also an ice cream bar. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is good, the facilities are clean.

Definitely check this place out on a Friday or Saturday. The seafood buffet is legit and so are the crab legs. The main buffet is $20 and an additional $20 for the crab legs. The frog legs and shrimp were good as so was the salad bar. Don't pass on dessert because the dessert bar is phenomenal!

My server was great but the food was not acceptable. I attempted to eat it but I don't think anything is being held at a proper temp and the food was either burnt or just mushy. Even the salad bar was a mess. Cucumbers looked like they were prepped 3 days ago and the tomatoes and onions were almost were for sure at least 3 days old. Normally I don't leave reviews but I noticed most patrons are elderly so I'm concerned for them.

Great seafood buffet! Worth the price. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good meal!
