The team at parkway is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. My girlfriend got the Shrimp and Scallops pasta, and I got the Halibut (I believe?) special. The pasta was quite good, and the halibut special was acceptable (although the vegetables were a bit boring and the halibut seemed under seasoned). The Mai Thai cocktail was very enjoyable. From my limited experience in Bethany Beach, I'd say The Parkway is a good place to spend an evening, though I was admittedly slightly underwhelmed with my food.

Overall not great. The food was bland in general. The swordfish was salted well but otherwise bland and it was undercooked in the middle. The salmon was well cooked but the coconut carrot puree didn't seem to fit well with the dish. Shrimp and scallop scampi was blandly seasoned with little of the sauce flavor transferring to the scallops and shrimp, though they were well cooked. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive. The back room is for larger parties but it was very dimly lit initially. After asking to have the room brightened twice it was improved though still a bit dim. Overall I would give it another shot but I wouldn't be in a hurry to do so.

My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary tonight. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! I had the lamb and mushroom soup. My husband had the prime rib eye. It never disappoints. Get there if you have a chance!

I hate to leave negative reviews. I know how tough it is with so many options when it comes to dining out and take out but they gave us 2 of the worst dishes we've ever had. They have a prime beef carpaccio as an appetizer. And the dish was three tiny balls of ground meat with three leaves of arugula and two cherry tomatoes. The ground meat balls were the size of pistachio nuts. See my photos below. The shrimp and scallops in their scampi pasta were just parboiled in a watered down sauce, it seemed as though when they strained the spaghetti they left way too much pasta water on it. They took fresh seafood and wasted it in an overly watered down sauce.

After many years of living in the Bethany Beach area, we kept asking ourselves, " Why have we never tried The Parkway Restaurant?" Last night, July 5, 2023, we made a reservation through Open Table. Our reservation was 7p.m. My wife and I arrived a couple of minutes before 7p.m. There was little to no room to stand at the entrance near the hostess' stand. After a ten minute wait to be recognized, the hostess sat us right away. Our table was up against the front window. The setting sun provided some really nice ambiance to an environment severely lacking it. The sunset would have been even better had the widow been clean. Talking about clean, the salt & pepper shakers were grotesquely sticky. Just our luck, we got a table that wobbled. I had to bend down to adjust the wedges under the table leg three times during our visit. Another ten minutes went by before menus were provided. Twenty minutes past before we actually met our server, J.H. While there were plenty of runners and bus people, there were only two servers in a packed restaurant. We finally placed our order. The appetizer and salad arrived at the same time. The bread... 2 tiny rolls, the caesar salad was fresh but sparse, the crab dip was awesome but came with 8 wheat crackers instead of some really awesome bread. The entrés finally arrived. My wife ordered two crab cakes. Her plate had the 2 crab cakes and what looked like two teaspoonful of a corn mix. My plate had the 8 oz. filet, 8 green beans & two tablespoonful of mashed potatoes. The crab cakes and filet were fantastic but the quantity and presentation were lacking for the price. The wine glasses were short poured while the mai tai was very potent. We decided to skip the dessert because they probably would have added another 45 minutes to an hour to our already 2 hour experience. The check finally arrived and did not belong to our order. It was $76 short. Being honest and afraid of bad carma we brought the check to the hostess and asked for the correct one. The food that arrived at our table was absolutely delicious but not satisfying. There was no presentation and was overpriced. The service was lacking, not the fault of the server but lack of servers. To wrap things up, our curiosity about The Parkway Restaurant has been quenched. Do I see us returning? No. Would I recommend this restaurant? No. Were our entertainment dollars well spent for a night out? No.

Nice food. Great environment. Too pricy, though, for the amount of food. But the servers are awesome!

My husband and I eat here often. It's one of our favorite places in Bethany Beach. Jane was our server tonight and she was outstanding. I had the mahi my husband always gets the rack of lamb which is always done to perfection. We had the peanut butter chocolate pie which was off the chart amazing. We can't wait to go back.

Smooth ambient accompanied by the phenomenal food, the best salmon I’ve ever tasted and it was extremely terrific and on point, decent price with high quality, friendly staff and everything was perfect to enjoy the night
