The service was excellent, as well as the food. They have some very unique items on the menu, like ostrich steak; which I didn't get to try, as they were out. The food and the cocktails are all reasonably priced. The food is well seasoned, well presented, and all around very enjoyable. The atmosphere is what really appealed to me the most. I love that I didn't have to go to DC to enjoy good live jazz and that there are venues in Fairfax County dedicated to hosting jazz bands -- an already underappreciated music genre as it is.

One of our favorite spots. Delicious French inspired cuisine Great place to get a steak, inventive salads, and oysters. The wait staff are always courteous and kind. A quiet place for lunch, fantastic dinner spot. Live music on the weekends.

This place is truly a staple of the town of Herndon. I've taken my girlfriend on multiple dinner dates here. The food is superb, the service really is top notch and the best part is that in the evenings (maybe weekends only?) They have complimentary live jazz which really sets the mood and separates this place from other places. You really need to give this place a try, you won't regret it.

The Ice House is a great venue. There's live entertainment on the weekends and it's usually quite good. The food is generally good, and the wine is well priced. We had the smoked duck quesadilla, and the prawns bourbon street style. Both were good, but the shrimp was overly salty.

First time I went here was for lunch and all I can say was I walked out saying I'll never comeback, the fish special was dry and the flavors was lacking. Fast forward 7 months came here for a friend's birthday party and had dinner. Totally different experience this time , the fish was good, raw oysters was fresh and live music was entertaining .

I've been here to eat twice. Both times, the food WAS TERRIBLE!!! The first time, I tried the calamari. It was over-cooked. I didn't finish it. The next time, I figured a burger wouldn't be that hard to prepare. While the burger was cooked well, the 1/2 pound (or so) of salt on my burger destroyed whatever taste was there. When I said something to the bar-tender, he responded that the cooks do add some salt and simply left it at that. It's too bad seeing as they do have some worthy to listen to music some days, hence the 2 stars.

My company had their annual holiday party at the Ice House this year. We were all in the private bar area with Dan as our bartender. The food was delicious and the happy hour bar food was even better (the chicken wings and tuna were delicious). Dan was an awesome bartender who was on top of all the drink orders and his mulled wine is out of this world. This place is a little Herndon gem that is well worth checking out.

Easy to find, right by street. Comfy atmosphere, good for family and friends gathering. Service was good. Ordered Ostrich Steak, Medium well, which turned out to be fantastic. Also ordered Jambalaya , which was amazing. FYI, restaurants in herndon charge meal tax, ice house cafe included.
