I had a meeting in the Ruskin area and they recommended this place for lunch. The sandwich was so good. I had "the club sandwich." The place is busy with local people. So, I recommend visiting this place if you are interested in a nice lunch.

Hidden gem. The locals know all about it and I make it a point to stop in anytime I am passing through. The whole menu is good. Brought a friend here and he says it was the best Reuben he has ever had. It is a little pricey, but well worth it.

Super cute roadside surprise! I was at Camp Bayou, and they suggested that I not miss Hot Tomato on my way to my next class. Oh boy were they right!!! Inside this roadside surprise was a delight for all your senses... scrumptious foods, beautiful deserts - I got a "personal-sized" key lime pie which served two generous servings of heaven. The pie crust was flaky, yet moist. The filling delightfully tart and sweet, without dye - readily evident of true key lime pie! Topped with fluffy cream & sliced almonds - it was irresistibly good! And the Hot Tomato Pie - I MUST have more! So rich and filling, with delightful texture and scrumptious taste. I saw delicious looking sandwiches I want to try come out to be served, and to aroma was temptation galore. Absolutely a hidden gem here in Ruskin!

Since the remodel, All of the food I have had at this place has been pretty good. the wings could be a lot more crispy and fries could be cooked longer. They also have no problem making those adjustments if you ask. The staff is very welcoming. But Today was a little frustrating I placed an order and when I got there within the time given (10-15 min) my order wasn’t ready and I had to wait an additional 10-15 min. This was during non busy hours. Once I receive my my burger it was not built the way I requested even after it was repeated back several times. Overall, you will have a pleasant experience. I just want this place to stay consistent.

This was our first time at the hot tomato. We enjoyed our sandwiches and will be back. The staff was nice and the dining area was clean. The bathroom does need to be remodeled but it is tucked away in the back of the store. They also have pizzas, chicken, dessert, and much more but I don’t have an opinion on those yet until I try them.

I would go back. With that said, the crab roll/cake wasn't the best and the tuna melt my wife had was kinda fishy. I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich which was pretty good. The cheesecake dessert was awesome. Food was ok but I would definitely go back for dessert.

Everything was excellent! We hope you don’t loose the quality of your food as you get busier! When Moffitt Cancer Center opens across from you, expect a lot more business unless we can keep it a secret! Sharing is a good thing though! Keep up the great job and remember to SMILE!

My 5th attempt at ordering here. Not a fan! Way over priced, poorly prepared and low grade. Best Vidal in town? If by best you mean frozen bread, low grade cold cuts and no roast pork - sure, I call it low grade dog food with rude staff. My wife is a sucker and falls for the reviews to be disappointed and sick from every meal we have had from this joke of an establishment. Over priced, low grade, cross contaminated dog food! Enjoy!
