Great food at very reasonable prices! Staff were very nice :) Gluten free options including waffles! Super filling and tasty... The decor inside is also really nice.
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! My family is both gluten and dairy free due to allergies. Finding a place able and willing to accommodate that is hard. The elephant shack did a fantastic job. They even went to the back to check some of the food. Outstanding place!
My 100th review is a celebration of one of my favorite places, The Elephant Shack!!! The menu is diverse and not cookie cutter corporate at all. Plenty to choose from, tasty side dishes and I'm partial to the onion rings so below is a pastrami/ pepper cheese with rings, and it certainly hit the spot today. The building has adequate seating, is well decorated with plenty of parking and located in a area that doesn't have a lot of competition, and that's kinda a plus for customers as a lot of the time, It's not to busy. It struggled through covid and various changes associated with small businesses, and the "open hours" has been erratic the last couple of years although the service has been good and they deserve to survive and in fact thrive. We need more food options like this!!!
Hands down the best breakfast burrito I've had in Yolo County! especially if you're vegetarian! Their veggie burrito is packed with mushrooms, avocado, onion, spinach eggs, I add potatoes and Im fed for the day. These burritos are large. My husband gets the meat one, likewise it's large, very filling and a lot of value for money. The tortillas have this super flaky texture that doesnt seem to go as soft soggy as other burritos I've had. Service is relatively fast for how busy they can be. I have no idea how the rest for the menu tastes, the burritos are so filling and good Ive struggled to ever order anything else, But if that's the standard then the rest of the menu should be a treat. Adding as this was in my drafts! I’ve since had the garlic fries!!! Absolutely delicious !!!! Now the one thing that knocks them down on my rating is we have driven there 3 times(from Davis) and found them closed. Despite social media(which they seem active on) showing them to be advertising their deal of the day that morning on one of the occasions. Rule of thumb now is to always call them before leaving Davis. If you're planning on driving just to eat here I would recommend you do the same! Otherwise this is a fantastic spot to eat! - If it was just based on the burrito I would give them 10 stars
The food is good quality and the service good enough to return again. It tends to get a bit crowd and the waiting period is about average, at least 15-20 mins. Their coffee is delicious! I was hoping to try their Belgium waffles, but It seems they were out. overall a nice place to have breakfast or lunch.
We found this place on a Sunday afternoon on yelp and couldn’t of been happier. Really amazing menu, breakfast and lunch served all day, really nice staff people who are super helpful, let me sample the biscuits and gravy before ordering it. My wife had a breakfast sandwich which was delicious and a complete steal at $4.99, the biscuits and gravy were $5.99. They also serve Coke product, and if you look at my reviews you know that’s important to me. Really great next time you’re in town don’t miss it.
I have ordered breakfast from here a few times and it’s been fine. Today, I thought I would try something new and got the veggie breakfast burrito. My appetite was quickly ruined after bitting into whatever this is.
Great stop, glad we looked this place up. Great variety of options for both breakfast and lunch with a fun atmosphere to hang out and jump on wifi if you need it. We will definitely return when in the area. I recommend the veggie melt sandwich!
