Driving from San Diego to Morro Bay. I was given the responsibility of choosing lunch. I chose The Blue Owl because it appeared to have fresh healthy food with options for veggie and meat eaters. The Blue Owl did not disappoint!!! I forgot to take pictures because I was so hungry. Driving through LA can do that to you. We ordered a Nam Tac burrito (beef) and a Sweetheart burrito (veggie). Both were excellent! I hope to visit again and try other sandwiches and salads. And parking was easy. Public parking structure. 75 minutes free then $3/hr.
My favorite meal I had in SB! I got the Nam Toc burrito and I highly recommend it. Super filling and very flavorful — the steak and fried rice inside are delicious. Also very happy it came with a little side salad. :-) it came out super quick. Great interior too! Perfect place to rest and recharge from a long day of walking around.
Very chill place, great food. Really cool folks working behind the counter. And of course delicious coffee and pastries and the like. I definitely recommend it for lunch, I'm being close to downtown, makes it easy for working folks and tourists and of course are out of town guests. Big pluses. They have a lot of carnivorous cuisine as well as vegetarian and vegan delights.
Food was really good. Service could be a little more attentive, I’ve asked for a non-spicy sauce but got the standard hot one, also the kitchen smoke smell was quite strong. We had beef fried rice bowl, Nam Toc Burrito, and Smoked Salmon salad, and, as I’ve already mentioned, the food was really good.
Ah mazing bowls and crunchy sticky rice and good meets with oh so much flavor. Star gives the blue owl two paws up. She loves the chicken and begged for more. Comedy night is a hoot on tuesdayeves. Don't bring you kids for that unless they are old enough for lots of f words tossed around and harsh jokes about sexual and mental health issues.
Banh Mi anything is highly recommended. Did try the fried rice and grilled cheese this time and they were alright. Nothing to make me come back. Live music and all staff friendly.
What a lovely place to stop by for food and/or drinks. A saxophonist was playing great music live. The sake lemonade was yummy and refreshing in a hot day.
This place has a really cool vibe. Stopped in here for lunch on our way North. The salad greens are fresh and the dressing for the house salad was awesome. Looks like they do live music here at times. Guessing modern jazz. I had the Egg Melt with avocado. They have GF options for those who want/need them.
