We have been willing to try these for years and finally made it! I gotta say the place is tiny, service is great and fast, they are friendly. The burger was ok, I order the southwestern and my boyfriend got it plain. It was definitely juicy but the buns are not that great. The sweet potatoe fries are amazing!! It was good for the experience but we wouldn't come back as it is far from us but we can finally say we tried them!

Never heard of Ted's in Meriden until today, but I'm glad I did. I kept it simple. Steamed burger with lettuce pickles ketchup and sauteed onions. Bun was great, the lettuce was Boston leaf. Really good flavor and texture. Great fries and onion rings made the overall comfort food experience.

I had to try a Steamed burger while in Connecticut and Ted's is the place. It's a small little dive with lots of character, a few booths and 6 or 8 counter seats. I got a steamed cheeseburger and it was alright, plenty of toppings. The 5 star performance was the two women working, cranking out orders, multi tasking and nailing it.

I was craving a burger for dinner and decided to go local rather than to Wendy’s or McDonald’s, and I was not disappointed. I ordered the double steamed hamburger and Cajun fries. The burger was nice and juicy on a fresh bun. And the spice on the fries was just the right amount of Cajun kick.

Hole in the wall place famous for its steamed cheeseburgers. My cheeseburger was ready by the time I finished paying, almost like a magic trick. I guess steam can cook a burger lightning fast - and it was very good. Basic seating inside and out. A must try experience

Steamed cheese burger was really good, love the combo between the steamed burger/cheese and the roll. The cheese was unique, apparently a mild cheddar. "Classic" version with raw onions and mustard was simple and good.

Great experience. Best burger I've ever had. I ordered the Hot and Spicy. You can order a special like I did or build your own. Cajun fries were perfectly cooked. Great shake selection to boot. Highly recommended if you're in the New England area!

This was a very fun "hole in the wall" experience. We stopped for lunch on our way down to Milford, CT. I liked the small dinner neighborhood feel, I just wish there were less TVs for the kids to stare at. The service was quick and friendly. They prepared and brought everything to the table quickly. The fries and onion rings came out more as appetizers. The steamed burgers were juicy and flavorful. A unique twist on the classic hamburger. The steamed chicken was a bit mild in flavor. I think next time I would try the crispy chicken. The BBQ and the Parmesan french fries were delicious! Lots of flavor and unique. The milk shakes were very thick and tasty. Almost needed a spoon to eat them. All in all a really nice experience and if I'm ever in the area again I would go back. I just wish the sandwiches came with a side.
