I have never had such terrible sushi before and will never go back. I do NOT recommend this place as the food is not fresh specially the fish. Even the rice wasn’t freshly made and was from days before. Barroom wasn’t clean. And right before we leave there was a horrendous smell coming out of the kitchen area (we were sitting at the sushi bar and close to the kitchen door). I got stomach ache after eating here so stay away. Visited this place on May 27, 2023

Excellent traditional Japanese fare — the lunch menu/specials are an exceptionally good deal. Takara has two locations in MetroWest and we enjoy both of them. The Wayland location has a better sushi/drinks bar set-up, and I prefer the Medfield location dining room (more spacious and light). Ample parking at the Wayland restaurant.

We loved this classic authentic restaurant! We ordered a sushi boat there , so fancy! Great chicken tempura and the chicken yum yum was divine! A direct hit with the kids. Sushi was very light and scrumptious.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant. The drinks and foods are amazing. Just go there!!!

My friend and I went in for dinner and sat right at the bar. Our server was very nice. It’s a smaller place and most tables were taken but it was a Saturday night. We enjoyed the Philadelphia roll and the avocado roll. Very fresh and prepared well.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Picture is the Dynamite Sushi. Great choices on menu for all. Fresh fish was excellent. 5/5

Really good sushi. Been there twice for dine-in, and service was always excellent. We had a few sushi rolls and spicy pork kimchee fried rice - everything was great.

Pleasantly surprised to find this place. Great value - great sushi, decent prices. We will come back! The only downside the evening we went was the wait for our food. We suspect they were short staffed at the sushi bar. If the wait is so long (30 min) for sashimi, it’s disappointing. Would have been great to have the staff offer a miso soup on the house or something to make the wait more bearable.
