First time coming to this restaurant! I must say it's AMAZING! The place just lively with a modern look. Food is extremely delish! From drinks to service. A+ thank you! I will coming back here very soon.

If you're looking to satisfy your sushi craving in the middle of Connecticut, Sushi Kawa will do the job. Came here on a Friday night at 7 pm there was only one other party here. We ended up getting the special which is offered on weeknights after 4 pm where we got 8 rolls for $35. While I've had better sushi in other places, the rolls did the job of filling me up. For the scallop tempura and shrimp tempura rolls, I tasted more tempura batter than scallop or shrimp. Overall it was good value for what you pay, but may not be your go to place if you're looking for really good sushi.

Everything was so good, and their mild garlic butter seasoning was perfect. 😋 My daughter had the headless shrimp, potato & corn and she enjoyed her dinner as well.

Quick service for quality food. The staff seemed a bit off but I think they had been dealing with a difficult table. Food was hot and sushi was well wrapped and fresh. Overall great experience and we will return.

Just a quick note. I did not try the sushi. They looked to be doing a reasonable sushi business. The hibachi was not great. No garlic sauce. I was informed they only do the white sauce. Their menu listed at least 6 different sakis. They had two left. The house I am assuming is The usual. Chicken hibachi was slightly off. Noodles were well done. The mixed veggies for the hibachi entree were very good. Exceptional even. Noodles were cooked perfectly.clear soup and salad were good. Dressing for salad did not taste like it was made in house. Service was okay. The bartender was quick and efficient. Not bad for the prices. Not a place to blow you out of the water either.

Nice size portions. Good value for high quality sushi. Attentive staff. Love the sushi bar samples.

Grand Opening as a Cajun Seafood restaurant. The food is delicious and they have a very cool menu of seafood! Would highly recommend!

Don't listen to paid reviewers. This place is terrible! The old Sushi joint was real good but its is n I longer Sushi. We tried it today and had to send food back it was that bad. Chicken wings taste like Tyson breaded wings overfried, had fried oysters that were like dipped in bisquick and fried till they were hard. Onion rings again like walmart brand fried till thawed. And lets not even talk about Asian style Cajun food OMG. Spend your money on good food somewhere else.
