This is the cleanest, and sharp looking Subway I've ever been in - bar none. The tables, chairs, wall, floor, it was all immaculate! It was just after the lunch rush, and the counters, and food bins were fresh and full. As usual the food was great. The new Subway menu really improves the quality. Beside that, the staff were all happy, clean and polite.
This is the only subway I eat at in the whole state. It’s always top notch and great service. Except today. I went in asked for a sandwich. Raymond was exceptionally nice and welcoming. And got my order going. This other lady took over. I did not get her name. I asked if I could get lots of onion and green peppers. She explains she puts only 6 on and if I want more she will have to charge me extra. I was baffled. I explain I didn’t mean to word it like that but they only put a little on and I like a little more. She explains the picture on the wall to be her reasoning. That the pizza only allows 4 olives. Me and the customer behind me were baffled. I said it’s fine the way the sandwich is thank you. She puts only 6 banana peppers and 6 olives. And 6 pickles and 6 jalapeños. I have never been limited on my veggies at a subway. Let alone this one. She rang me up and I got my drink. She never explained that there were punch cards. And asked the lady behind me if she wanted a punch card and gave her exceptional service but me… which was weird
8-24-16, stopped here driving to Valdez on a raining evening. Great sub and staff were great.
Clean Subway. Fast service. I just wish they had a tipping feature on their online ordering system. I feel bad if I don't have the option to tip these people they work hard.
We needed some sandwiches to use the next day on a fishing charter. They went out of their way to separate the vegetables and liquids from the meat and bread. Our sandwiches were wonderful for the next two days. We really appreciate the extra effort!
Owner and staff are very friendly!!!! They know me by now because I go everyday for my diet coke fix. The price is a little more than the lower 48 but you know what your getting. Only place to get a fountain Diet coke.
This Subways is pretty good, compared to other subways in rural areas. The only odd thing about this subway is that they sell pizza of all things. It's the second subway I know of in Alaska that sells Pizza, aside from the Anchorage Walmart on Debarr Road. Anyway, I would recommend this subway if you need a sandwich in Valdez.
You get your sandwich the way you want it. And since this Subway is in a small town they can recognize you and remember how you like it. Plus the one lady there works very hard and deserves a raise.
