My one star is based off of cleanliness alone. I base where I'm going to eat off of cleanliness of the of the establishment amongst other things like Cuisine Etc. Now this is Subway so I know what to expect however the first thing I noticed was when the girl asked me what type of bread I wanted. She opened the door and the door fell off! The girl did not know what to do so she said do you mind if I call my boss. I told her to go ahead. My daughter and I turned around and the refrigerator was broken! So then I said wow this Subway needs some updating. This led me to look around and I noticed all of the dust, floor wasn't mopped, and dirty napkins on the floor. This got me to thinking what does the back look like where they store the food. Plus my biggest pet peeve about Subway is the way they treat the knife can they please wash it instead of scraping it against the metal counter?! I just think this Subway needs to be really renovated and cleaned. Because right now I don't even want to eat my sandwich!
Several bad experiences with this Subway shop in Terryville all involving whom we believe is the owner. Stopped in to grab a quick sub to bring home. The owner was on her smart phone and would not make eye contact with me. After waiting 3 - 5min I left and didn't return for several months. 2nd visit was waiting in a queue and the guy making subs asked what I would like which I quickly responded to have a tuna sub. The owner looked at him and said we are all out of tuna (which was true) but the guy said he could make some for me. The owner said that would take to long rather you order something else (I left without anything). 3rd Visit my wife goes in (I won't go there anymore) and no one was around. After several minutes the owner popped out and asked my wife what she would like. My wife asked for the chopped salad. The owner did not want to make the chopped salad and told my wife in so many words it would be too difficult. Needless to say this owner needs to go and let somebody run this operation that is interested in making money.
Staff had no idea what they were doing. Started arguing with us about the cost of a sandwich that was clearly marked on the menu and trying to charge us for something completely different. Then started arguing with us about the coupon. Then the guy walked away and said I can't help you. So I replied get someone who can and the guy said don't tell me how to do my job and walked away.
Ive noticted in the past couple of years with this location going under new Managment the establishment has gone slightly down hill with their 'Limitited meat' on evry sandwich, however aside from today i never really had a problem. The emlpoyee there was distracted unproffetional and the store was not clean and was unstocked. The woman who made my sandwich was NOT in uniform, her hair was NOT fully tamed, and she also proceeded to use her personal cell phone during our trasaction by far this was my most unsettling visit there. My sandwich was barley wrapped i got a Tuna with more mayo than meat, as well as ending up with a piece of her long pink hair in my mouth. I am beyond discussed with this visit!
All subway locations have their negatives but this one is horrible!!! First they were out of half the toppings and half the meats.. I love their chop salads..... but I had to go home and chop my own meat! And add lettuce! The container was only a third full!!! The whole purpose of getting food out is so I don’t have to do any kind of food prep at home! Will never go to this location again!!
Wth, I go in and get a wrap same one I always get and it was soooo tiny, I told the kid that it was way smaller then any other subway I've ever been to and his response was well this is what my boss says I'm allowed to give, I didn't want to argue/get him in trouble but I get to the car & realize just how tiny it was, 5 bites? & I was done hardly anything at all!!!!! I'm a tiny girl for a normal size guy we're looking at 3 bites? Not cool I'll go elsewhere! Don't waste your money if the boss is really doing this he's going to loose a lot of business I know he lost mine if rather drive the extra 10 mins to southington, thomaston or Waterbury hands down, skimpiest subway I've ever been to! Don't bother.
The terryville subway is the worst. Which sucks because we live so close by. Everytime I go it seems like they've hired some new person right off the street , they have no idea what they're doing. Its extremely dirty in there too
