This location is a typical run of the mill Subway which my family and I eat at regularly. Except for the occasional lack of staff (oftentimes just one employee), there's nothing to complain about.
The food @ subway is always fantastic but @ this particular establishment the guy working the shop (alone it appeared) was not very friendly. He came off as if he was irritated by my coming in & ordering. Being that way I won't be visiting again as long as I see him working.
There are two locations in Red Wing, MN--one located in Burnside and one located at downtown at 926 Main St. I really like the downtown location--I prefer to use this particular location instead of the Burnside location because the sandwich artists who work at the downtown location ALWAYS and BY FAR have a cheery and friendly attitude which makes the service they provide truly excellent, and they always get my order expeditiously and precisely done well. I most highly recommend the downtown Red Wing, MN location.
Went Thurs 4-13-2023 was in about 7:30 p.m. and got the monster felt very comfortable with him really friendly there was a young man that was working by himself he had a very good personality very calm not stressed friendly I would keep him around very good member to keep around give him a raise thank you
Go to the other subway. The manager (one of them at least) is kinda rude and unprofessional. She put my sandwich in the bag without wrapping it, just the little paper they make your sandwich on, and she wasn’t wearing gloves. She literally (softly) shoved one of her very nice employees out of the way to not wrap my sandwich, and complained about how horrible her life is, not even under her breath. I can imagine subway sucks and I’m sure she doesn’t get paid enough but I just want to get a sandwich please, I’m gonna tip you... and she was mad at the probably trainee for not being fast enough but I have 0 issues waiting, being impatient doesn’t help anyone learn and I appreciate that the trainee took the time to focus on making me a quality sub. I was disappointed in the managers irritated and impatient attitude towards a costumer and a good employee and I’ve never had costumer service issues at the other subway so I just go there
Excellent food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. Very fast and very polite. Try the meatballs marinera it was great.
In town for a few days so we decided to stop here. Got a wrap and a sub. Both tasted excellent, as expected of Subway. The employee at the counter was very friendly and chatted with us while he made our order. The store is small but cozy. It was clean and well maintained. The only complaint I have is the parking lot is a little uneven and the lot entrance is small. To be fair there is still snow on the ground so the entry could be a bit bigger underneath it all. Will probably stop back in again before we leave.
I ordered 4 salads to go. Rather than making chopped salads like every other location he simply ripped the meat and cheese and placed them on top of the veggies. That way we were forced to try and mix everything together ourselves and we weren't completely successful. One of the salads wasn't closed tightly and came open and spilled into the bag during the drive. I will try the other Subway location in town next time.
