Don’t order online. Apparently this is “extra spinach”. That’s sad. Not even one full serving.
A shame that the owners refuse to honor the corporate coupons they keep sending out. We will not be going back.
The employees were great at this location. One was new and learning but he was giving it his best. The experienced associate was giving advice on how to be faster and efficient. Both did a great job. The sandwich was excellent and fresh. Why the 3 stars? PRICE. Subway unfortunately, as a whole, is not a good value when compared to other restaurants. 2 people can go to a sit down full service establishment and pay the same as 2 12" combos. Kudos to the employees for easing the pain of ever increasing prices. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere, just get an affordable pricing structure.......please! UPDATE JULY 2023.... This Metropolis location has had a new owner for a few years now. We usually don't visit this location or the ones in Paducah because they won't accept Subways Corporate National Coupons. Coupons aren't out all the time. We would be regulars again if the decision makers weren't acting so cheap. We simply wait till we're in Vienna Illinois and get subway up there. We did make an exception the other day. We ordered Italian Bmt's, the associate did an excellent job making the subs and they tasted great. The store looked nice and clean. So, business falling off? Don't blame the workers!
Manager is very nice so is the staff well kept and cleaned. food tastes fresh and they wear a mask and gloves at all times The female manager I think she is a manager. definitely needs a raise great work ethic and very polite

The lady that was working on 3-5-2021 at 7pm jn metropolis IL subway needs a raise. She was by herself and the place was pack and she kept apologizing to everyone and letting them know that she is doing the best she can. The food was great and she did a excellent job.
I was only allowed six black olives for my foot long sub and when. I asked for extra I had to get it on the side and still only received 3-4 in a side cup. She put the bare minimum of each topping and acted as if I were asking for an arm or leg when requesting extra toppings.
I have visited this store several times over the past few months and have always received good service. When I arrived today at about 11:15 AM there was quite a line and only two people working behind the counter, but they kept things moving along quite well and my wait was minimal. Both counter people were courteous (everyone addressed as "sir" or "ma'am") and everyone was thanked for their custom. The sandwiches are good and they really load them up with meat and cheese, and you can add all the toppings you want, making them a good value. If you can catch one of the $5 foot long specials, even better.
