Order online and curbside pick up is my go to way to visit Subway. The sandwiches come out perfect each time

I’ve lived in Hurricane for almost a decade. Today was my first experience with the subway on state street. I’ve been to the one in Walmart and Springdale multiple times - but this one is closer to my residence (not sure why I haven’t stopped in here before?) The place was clean, the food was good, but the service was mediocre at best. The employee/shift manager training the new employee was snide and rude. Everything we asked for was “not allowed” or of course an up charge. Which is totally fine!! I don’t mind paying for extra cheese or Italian bread instead of white. It was honestly just the way she spoke to me. Her demeanor and tone was rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. I’ve worked in customer service including the food industry, it makes a big difference the way you speak to people. Instead of saying, “you can’t have that, it’s not allowed, and if I give it to you, I’ll get in trouble”. Try saying, “I’m sorry, but unfortunately we only offer white or wheat with that sandwich.” I wasn’t asking for “free” food or for you to be in trouble with your boss - I was merely asking to be supplied with the sandwich I asked for at WHATEVER cost you would sell it to anyone else. That’s it, that’s all. Honestly, I’d rather drive to Springdale for a sandwich because their employees are kind, respectful, and have better customer service.

We drove through the drive-through and nobody answered, there was no sign saying they weren’t taking orders that way or anything. Kind of annoying. So we made an online order instead so we could just jump inside and grab it as we were in pjs already and not very presentable. The girl that made our food was incredibly scattered and flustered with no one in line, and checked us out quickly. That’s fine. Got home and saw both sandwiches were missing ingredients, some ingredients were mixed up on the wrong sandwich, and the breads were wrong. I was very irritated by this point, but when I went back in, 2 boys were the only ones there and were very polite and made the sandwiches perfectly fine after that. They’re the only reason this review has any stars…

Honestly it was the young girl helping us tonight that made it she was there manning it all by herself and she moved fast and was incredibly friendly. My kids wanted me to back up just to thank her 😅

Food all over the floor and tables. One of the sandwiches had meat only on one side. So soaked in sauce we ended up throwing them out. I would not recommend this place to anyone.!!!! When my husband opened his sandwich the bread was broken in pieces. She did't use a knife to cut it. The board of health needs to come in. I'm never going back to that subway.

I was surprised at how expensive the sandwiches have gotten. My kids really wanted to eat there. The staff was friendly and worked quickly. The sandwiches tasted great.

The line was long when we walked in, however it went very quick. The staff was very kind and went above and beyond to make my family happy. My son did not want to eat a sandwich and wanted Pizza which they no longer sell, but they still put a little pizza together for him. Overall, it was a great experience.

This place is ridiculous. Management needs to step in. When I walked in an employee threw a fit for being asked to put her hair up. Took over 15 minutes to order sandwiches. The whole time I ordered the "manager" was yelling across the store all these things I couldn't order. By the 3rd yell I yelled back. They were out of numerous things. Got up to check out and was told they wouldn't take my $100 and to go to the bank to break it. It's Sunday, banks are closed. Ended up just driving to Walmart to break my money and get subway from there.
