Haven’t been until today in years and years since I was a small kid. The food is pretty good, though you have to order on a kiosk which is very confusing and take a while. The fries are basically still empty but taste good. The shake are the best.
The business model here has changed and it is no longer table service with wait staff. You now order at a kiosk and food is dropped off at the counter so it's like most fast food. It actually is a lot faster service than it used to be and most of the menu that I was familiar with a few years ago is still around. I had the Frisco patty melt sandwich and it was on some of the toastiest, crispiest fried bread I've ever had. The stuff seemed friendly and welcomed me, and checked on my food satisfaction.
I love steak and shake. I know their menu like the back of their hand. I ordered the Frisco melt meal, the drink does not come with the meal, and the bread on the burger is not sourdough it is regular bread toasted and cut. The food was hot, but the meal did not match the pictures. They are always empty, and now I see why. The meals don't match the menu. But over all the staff is friendly. There is no line ever.
Service at this place sucks asked for ketchup I got 2 packets. What do I have to pay extra to get enough for my fries??? Definitely won't be back
Oh how I've missed steak n shake. Place was very clean, service was fast. And it was nice to order our food on the kiosk so we knew exactly what we were ordering. Food tasted amazing as always. Will definitely be back soon.
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, it's become very quiet over the past year or two. Good food, standard price. It now has self serve kiosks.
Stopped in after our movie to grab a burger. I know the place isn't the fastest, but 5 minutes to be seated as the only person in line was the start. 15 minutes at the table before the waitress stopped by to take our order. 25 minutes goes by and the manager stopped by and asked if we had ordered. She checked on our order and then came back and told us it had not been placed yet and she would put a rush on it. We just left and went to Popeyes down the street.
