I normally would give 5 stars but to be honest the food was super greasy and the fries were cold. I am a big believer in the entire restaurant needs to be clean, well the bathroom was an absolute disgrace, toilet paper all over the floor, trash can was full and over flowing. The toilets looked like that hadn't been scrubbed in months.. needless to say I held it and went to the local QT where the bathrooms are always clean!!
Stopped by for dinner. Friendly staff but not very attentive. I ordered the Royale Burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. I love the fries!!! The fries were fresh and almost McDonald's-like. Overall, great meal!
Really nice place for a cheap bite! The food is amazing every single time and we always go when in Georgia (from Virginia). Pro tip: get the shakes. they're amazing!
The sandwiches were made very sloppily. The paper was saturated with grease and toppings were half off the burger. I ordered the BBQ and bacon burger and the bacon was missing. How do you forget something when it's LITERALLY in the burgers name?!?! Fries were put in the bag sideways so they all fell out, which was really great. We got two Cokes and a Sprite, the Sprite tasted like nothing more than carbonated water. There were no napkins in the bag. Front of house staff is really good, but the cooks are all a complete disappointment. It wasn't exactly busy either. There were only 3 tables filled and one car in the drive thru. I get it, it was 5 and time for the shift change judging by the 17 employees I counted, but have some pride in your job and get things right for Pete's sake!!
Food was great, sweet tea tasted old, the server not so much. I get we walked in pretty late but it wasn’t right before close or anything. Waitress asked “how many” grabbed menus and walked away, set menus on the table and walked away again. I get it’s late again and you’re tired, but at least pretend you’re happy in front of guests.
So this place had begun to go downhill, burgers had been getting served burnt to a crisp, etc. I had been avoiding it for a long time but tried it out about a week ago and based on that, I got a to-go order last night just to make sure last week was not a fluke - happy to report that it's no fluke! This place is doing things like they used to!! Burgers were cooked perfectly and were so delicious!! Fries were salted just the right amount, not too much or too little. Shake was in a to-go cup last week instead of in one of the tall glasses, kinda strange, but the shake still tasted great. For our dine-in experience last week, our server was perfect! I didn't get her name, but she was as friendly as she could possibly be, and every bit as polite as she was friendly, and this in spite of it being busy, and some of the other customers seemed to be a handful. She reminded me of how service used to be,long before COVID. You can't ask for more. The food came out pretty quick and everything was hot and fresh, like it should be. It doesn't get much better than this. This Steak n Shake is back on track!
Please do not eat at this place I found a roach inside of my burger, I was inside of the restaurant eating the burger when I found it, I took it to the manager. She took the Burger from me and told me to get out. I asked for my money back and she said they do not gave refunds and told me if I did not leave She would call the cops because I put the roach in the burger myself. I'm so happy I took pictures and I will be contacting my attorney.
As soon as we walked in (party of 11) they gave us a look. The hostess made a face when we told her it was a party of 11. I ordered a double bacon cheese burger with NO PICKLES only with onions and ketchup how it comes. When I received the order the sandwich had pickles and no onions, I explained and they took the sandwich and just tossed the pickles out and gave it back with the disgusting taste of pickles. As a paying customer I shouldn’t have received that kind of service. And fyi if I would have had a pickle allergy it would have played out a whole lot different. Invest on your customer service skills!
