Back in 2017 or 2018, I placed an online order and when I went into this location to pick it up, they were closed for renovations. A few days later, when they were back open for business, I went in and asked a manager for a refund for the food I never received and he refused so I stop giving this location my business for years. Within the last year, I started visiting this location again. I'd say about 90% of the time, my order is missing items. The only thing positive I'd say about this location is that the food is really good. Another great example why we shouldn't raise our minimum wage. Why pay these people more money just to mess up our order constantly.
I was actually very surprised. I haven't been to a Steak 'n Shake in years, and I had forgotten how much I loved them. It was so good I forgot pictures of the food! When we walked in, we were greeted by a polite young man who showed us how to order. You order on screen now yourself. The restaurant was very clean. Good music. Fun atmosphere from the 50s, like a diner feel. A claw machine. You pour your own drinks. The milkshakes looked so good, but I was too full to get one, so I'll be back! Drive thru was rocking, but the food came out hot and fresh and in a timely manner. Great job! We went on Sunday late afternoon around 5.
Self Kiosk for order but easy enough to use, Ben manager was amazing. He brought us our food and shakes and was very helpful if we needed anything. I also noticed him doing extras and not just standing around like most managers at these places. Food was good and overall service was great.
My family and I stopped in for lunch today and we were pleasantly surprised. We were immediately greeted by Ben who advised us of our ordering options and offered help with the process if needed. After ordering our food we watched as Ben made his way around the restaurant greeting guests, cleaning tables and running milk shakes to different tables. This guy is a real asset, it's been awhile since I've come into contact with someone so happy and genuine. The food was delicious and affordable. I'll definitely be visiting again soon.
I have never been to a Steak n' Shake I didn't like, but this one... I LOVED. I don't know who was greeting customers at the door but they were amazing; kind, patient, and helpful. Even when a customer was rude to them, they carried on happily making sure everyone was doing well. It's still great here! Come during happy hour and get a smoothie! :D
I used to enjoy going to this place when they had the waitress /waiters and the quality of the burgers were so much better. Since the changes, after the pandemic, food sucks and atmosphere is dingy! Sorry but truth ia the truth. So disappointing!!!!!
So very sad to say this was the last chance for Steak n Shake. They have changed everything. You must order from a kiosk for your order, then you wait to be called and the food was not the quality it used to be. That was the nice thing about Steak n Shake you could depend on great service and food, not anymore. While dining another diner had been given the wrong order on their tray the staff came out with a new tray and took the other tray, the manager took the burger off the tray wrapped and gave it to a drive through order, I was shocked. Who knows how it was touched or how long ago it was served. I had a bowl of chili and it was presented in a paper to go cup, I said something and they said this is the "new" bowl size now. I had to ask for crackers. The fries were good and hot, the milk shakes were tasty but sadly the portions are smaller and the chili seemed watered down. We will not go back again. Do not waste your money.
Ben is literally the best employee! His customer service skills are out of this world! Thanks for making this an enjoyable quick bite with my kiddos!
