Breakfast Menu "Steak 'n Shake" Sarasota

I used to come to this location all the time, 6 years ago it started going downhill and I stopped coming. I hit the drive through today and glad to say it’s returned to being good again. The restaurant is being renovated, seems like they’re making an effort. The fries were hot and crispy, the sprite was spicy, burger was awesome with the onion and pickles. $8 for the combo meal, same price as McDonald’s but this was made fresh and just tastes so much better.

Pulled in at 9:30. Hours show open till 10. Drive thru had a cone blocking it so we went inside. Decided to order dine in. Half the place was blocked off and the only tables were filthy. Guy cooking was super nice and started our order before we finished putting in the kiosk. Very large manager with his shirt coming undone and fat rolls showing started yelling at his staff that there were no more dine in orders and started putting all the patrons food in to go bags then walked over and locked the door. I understand we were late but he was beyond rude to the rest of the courteous staff. I grew up here and it was one of the first places I went to in high school with my friends 20+ years ago. What a miserable failure it’s become.

I just had a Frisco melt and it was awesome! It tasted like it was grilled in butter. Mmm. Loved it. They have lots of good specials here and the workers are very nice and dressed in cute outfits.

Put food order in at 10:59 got the shakes 10 minutes after the food order. 11:30 walked up to ask when wood will be ready was told they are behind because of how busy they are. In reality sitting waiting and watching I can tell you management and employees performance is poor. Could use improvement. One positive thing is that there shakes have huge straws which is wonderful.

Nice clean restaurant. Their burgers were great and kids love their shakes. However, I think the flavor chunks should be added a little more like the Reese’s on the milkshakes to make it a much better deal.

We ordered delivery and Half of our order was incomplete or missing The additional toppings we ordered and paid for were missing. Ordered cheese fries and got regular The email says any issues to contact the location but nobody answers the phone

The professionalism in that place is amateur at best. I call every morning to make sure their dining room is open so I don't waste my 30 minutes of precious lunch time going over there Every time the door is locked I call that 10am the owner says they're open it's always a lie I have to say food is okay but place is still dirty.

The service has really gone done since they have switched to kiosk ordering. All tables are dirty each time we've went in, staff gets irritated if you ask questions, and are unable to use the app in store anymore. Last time we told ourselves we weren't coming back, but decided to give another try. Nope, just as bad. Tables all dirty and they weren't busy at all - had to ask someone to clean one and they weren't happy about us asking, the tomatoes on our sandwiches were mushy to the point there was no middle - who puts that on a sandwich? Definitely last time we will go to Steak n Shake which is sad because we really used to love the place.
