Breakfast Menu "Steak 'n Shake" Powell

We were in the drive through for 45 minutes, when we were handed a bag, an half full and melted shake and told to have a nice day. The bag was missing 4+ items. We proceeded to sit in the drive thru to wait for service and when service didn’t come my partner stayed in the car and I went into the lobby to which I was met with 4 other groups of people all with similar experiences. After waiting in the lobby and getting ignored for almost 15 minutes, I went back to the car to eat the food we did get, only to realize I was not given the correct burger nor did it look appetizing at all. It had one full patty and one meatball looking item. I have a picture if you would like to see. At which point we asked for our money back so we could just go as it had been over an hour and the gentleman behind the counter informed us that he couldn’t give us our money back. He called his manager to which we proceeded to wait for, for an additional 30 minutes. After almost 40 minutes with no manager we were told we were better off just leaving and calling in the morning. We waiting for TWO HOURS, to try to get our money back, to no avail

2 employees. 1 cook, 1 food runner who also makes shakes and services the drive-thru. Make sure you have time and patience. Probably not worth it. This company is in desperate need of reorganization. It's self service kiosk ordering. No servers. I feel for the employees and have witnessed 1 walking out during his shift. We seriously wouldn't blame any others doing the same thing.

Haven't been to this Steak 'n' Shake for awhile. Didn't realize there was no more wait staff or that you had to order on their computerized system. When we finally got the order squared away, we tried to run our gift card, but it wouldn't take. When someone eventually came over to help us, we were informed that gift cards only work in the drive-through.....?!?!? We left and got good food and service at Skyline Chili a block away.

Do not do not do not eat at this steak n shake or ANY steak and shake for that matter… We waited for over an HOUR in the drive through to not get half of the items we paid for. After we go so fed up we asked for our money back just so we could finally leave and there wasn’t even a manager on site. We left without our FOOD AND OUR MONEY. We threw away the 2 items we did get because we didn’t want food poisoning Worst dining experience in a long time. The employees were coughing and picking up food with their bare hands when we went inside to talk to them This company is an embarrassment and seemingly don’t respect themselves or their customers

Food is good. However make sure you clear at least 45 minutes on your schedule as you will sit in the drive thru for that long. They will tell you they are catching up on their lobby even when you are the only person there aside from the employees. There is usually only one employee working, occasionally two and they will snap at you. The lobby service is awful as well and you can probably go back there and make your own food without them noticing honestly.

The dopesick window attendant - "Like I have all the time in the world!" When we told her that the card we handed her didn't have a chip. Thats the only words she muttered during the entire transaction. Replace these jobs with robots and don't keep the dining space 64 degrees.

This used to be a great place to eat at. I think maybe COVID ruined them. I had a meal there but I was the only patron at 5:30 on a Friday. The tables were filthy, their whipped cream machine was broken and I had to eat my meal with plastic utensils. I'll give them a few months to get their act together before I return.

With the kiosk ordering, there is little to no human interaction. Milkshakes were served in to go cups with no whipped cream or cherry. Definitely not the Steak n Shake I grew up with.
