I was happy when they re-opened the place, it had really gone down service wise because of staffing issues. I hadn't been back in at least 2 years, so I was hopeful and excited. The concept of "no servers" is ok. It felt kinda weird that it asks for a tip, when there aren't servers, I understand someone is preparing your food; but they do that at Panera, McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's etc, and don't expect a tip. With that said. The food was made fast. The utensils, cups, napkins, straws.... station was full. What I was very surprised to see is how deteriorated the seating is. The benches are practically falling apart, the ones I saw all had a tear in the seats on either side. The chairs were not much better. The place isn't visibly filthy per say, however when I went to pick up my food tray, the counter felt so greasy that when I took a closer look it absolutely was greasy. They need to clean more often. It doesn't smell, and like I said it doesn't look dirty per say, but it feels dirty when you touch the tables and chairs. The food was great tho.

Entered the location the cook spoke to acknowledge my existence. Staff walking around. However no one came over to see what I would like to order. Poor etiquette. I actually sat at a table for 15 minutes without further acknowledgement. Unfortunately an all African American staff. Pure ignorance! Could not place an order because no one addressed me.

First time there since they re-opened & won't be back. They no longer have some of our favorites (the Royale to name one), the dining room was FILTHY (makes me sick to think how bad the kitchen probably was) & the tomato on my sandwich was rotten in the middle-glad I looked. The 2 employees that were there never looked at us-no 'hello' or anything-just yelled out our name when we had to go get our our order. The only reason I gave 2 stars for the food was because the chili was still good. We used to like Steak & Shake, but we won't bother going back. If we, as paying customers, aren't worth a 'hello', a clean place to eat & food that should've been put in the trash, instead of on my burger-then they don't need our business & we will take that business elsewhere.

Absolutely greasy hamburger got no fries! Chili looks like absolute slop! You swear it came from jail and on top of that a 40 min wait!!!! Never will go here again!!

1 star is too many! I am totally fine with no servers but this place is gross. Dirty is an understatement. You stick to the floor, every table had not been wiped off in hours. Ketchup on seat booths. Food and nastiness everywhere. The napkin, soda area was a complete mess. No ketchup. I would hate to see the bathroom! If this is how the dining looks its completely scary to imagine what is going on in that kitchen. Health department where are you?? This location probably should of kept its doors closed.

Went to drive thru this evening and the shakes were amazing! My husband got the peanut butter and banana milkshake while I got the Nutella. We both loved the flavor and we're hoping that next time we go the service would improve. When we were taking our orders in the drive thru employee number 2 interrupted employee number 1 saying "We Don't do Two side shakes" Which cause a ton of confusion (he could of been new, may of not known any better) but it definitely wasn't a very polite tone.. however employee number 1 came back on and she was able to fix the situation. Drive thru was a bit slow, we waited for about 10 minutes (but we didn't mind that was fine) However, maybe talk to employee number one about her putting away her phone? Or at least not have her have it at the registers where she doesn't pay attention? I just found the atmosphere to be unpolite during our time but we are willing to go again, just not for awhile.

Worst service ever at any Steak n Shake I've been to. Self serve register had note stating no Nutella or hot dogs. I ordered burger combo and 5 way spaghetti. Manager told an employee to refund the 5 way as they were also out of that and chilli Mac. Never given a chance to order something else or anything so I stated if wife can't eat just refund tge whole order. She rudely stated I had to wait then which I then stood there for 15 minutes waiting for my refund at which time manager laid cash on counter said have good day sarcastically and walked off. This staff needs retrained or replaced but sadly ill never know as I refuse to ever go back to this location.

Husband went in and order then waited only to je told they didn't have it. So he ordered something else and waited again and was told the same thing. When he said just give me a refund the manager was extremely snippy saying well you will have to wait then. Almost 20 minutes later he was back to the van. Worst Steak and Shake experience EVER. Will never go back to this one.
