We went for the milkshake happy hour and really enjoyed it! Great price on milkshakes and the food was tasty. A nice little afternoon outing with the kids! Easy ordering as well.

Today 1-9-23, went in and needed to purchase a bottle or water or a soda. Horrible dreadful experience. 3 out of the 4 machines were debit / credit only , and 1 was cash & debit- credit. They wouldn't take cash upfront. Only 1 man cooking food & one women upfront. I paid $2.13 for my bottle of water ,the machine wanted me to pay again then I called over the women, she was getting upset with me. I told her I've already paid the $2.13 . Then the machine wouldn't print out my receipt. Horrible service, they couldn't figure out how to print out my recipe. But finally got my bottle of water. The entire restaurant Smelt like vomit, the floors were completely sticky like Maple syrup were completely poured all over it.

Well this is my first time ever having a steak and shake experience. I have to admit the burgers were delicious and the fries are amazing. The milkshakes were good too. Everything was prepared quickly and expertly. Everything is ordered through a kiosk now so you have to pick up your own food.

First time here in a long time. Ordering process has changed to order at kiosk. The attendant was nearby to help out in our ordering process. The food came out quickly. It was hot and good. It was made the correct way. Fries were delicious. The kids grilled cheese was good and big. Milk shake was perfect. The ice tea was only ok. We were checked on my the attendant to make sure everything was ok. The restaurant is very clean. The workers all seemed pleasant. I'll come back again for sure.

Awful experience. I waited ONE HOUR for TWO milkshakes. MULTIPLE orders went out before mine. The worker who was making milkshakes- and when we asked multiple times where our order was, he was dismissive and didn’t even look me in my face. I heard him swearing from the back about me. I understand this place was busy. But it took again, ONE WHOLE HOUR, for my TWO milkshakes. The older lady who I assume may have been a manager was very helpful and nice (which was the one thing that kept me from yelling.) I understand- I am a good service worker too. But this is ridiculous. I wish I had gotten this man’s name because his response was unprofessional. I am a usually calm customer (started to get visibly angry in this interaction, understandably.), but this? Not okay. Took everything to not make a scene to a manager. One hour for two milkshakes? BS.

This Steak ‘n Shake is a well run location with attentive staff that works hard. The food is consistent and there is simple self ordering on iPads. My kids love it and always get a fun flavored milkshake.

Was really looking forward to passing thru after not having been here for a while. Was super surprised that it was all automated ordering when we walked in. Gave us some time tho to figure out what we wanted and was super easy to do. Got to the tip section and left 20% because that’s the norm right? Sat down at our table and waited for our food — got called up to the counter and had to grab our own food and fill up our own drinks and refills. Trash cans were out on the floor to bus our own tables too. 😒 so on second thought, what was the tip for? I wouldn’t tip someone in a fast food restaurant like McDonalds or Taco Bell, but I’m suppose to at Steak and Shake still when I’m doing all the work? Super weird..

They used kiosks to order, which I like, but a few older people needed assistance while we were there. The whole place, as well as the staff, were quiet. Seemed like it needed some life into the place. Overall, the smash burgers and shakes were good. I will definitely return.
