I've been to other Steak & Shakes and ordered the garlic bun burger and never had this issue. I took my order back up front because my burger was on a buttered bun (not what I ordered) I was told that a bun will be brought to me. Guess what... It was the same exact bun as the first. So I was supposed to take the sauce and whip it off on the other bun and make my own burger. Interesting 🤔. We won't speak about my shake.
Never even got to the point of getting my food. The white girl at the window with a bad attitude needs a wake up call. Lost my business for good. Won't be surprised if the franchise goes out of business.
Waited way to long for what should have been the fastest item on the menu. No worries I was entertained by the staff. Learning how terrible one employee was. Let's call her employee 1. I was well informed by employee 2 that she was far superior to the other. She made sure all of us waiting for food new it. If you missed the conversation or argument the two had, don't worry the superior employee #1 was gonna tell you all about it. It was highly unprofessional and made for an uncomfortable wait. Just fix the food ladies. Keep the rest to yourself.
Arrived at 8:53 PM on 2/4/23. 3 Vehicles in front of me in drive thru line upon arrival. Been sitting in line over 30 minutes now, had to get the clerk to reread my order of 4 milkshakes three times. It’s Saturday at 9:30 PM, what’s the issue here? Not enough staff? Have a huge feeling the order is going to be messed up, more to follow on that, figure I’ll sit here and devote this time to the store. Finally received order at 9:34 PM. If not enough staff, you’d figure certainly a management issue regarding employee retention or scheduling. This is 2023, not 1930 let’s get with the program and expedite your drive thru lane! The cashier was excellent she was very polite, but my food was cold 🥶 french 🍟 fries cold, chicken strips Cold ❄️ the double 🍔 steak 🥩 burger wasn't hot 🔥 off the grill or whatever they cook it on. All in all a waste of money 💰 for me. The sprite tastes like seltzer water, and I refused to go back for a missing shake, because I didn't want anyone to spit in it for complaining about my food being ❄️ cold! 👁️👁️
From the start a bad experience. Entrance way, wait area, and sitting area all had a very grease covered floor. No slip signage until i complained. Approximately 60% capacity yet took extremely long time for food arrival to table. Chili chees fries cold brugers sloppy made. From where i sit i could see into kitchen and all work counters and appliances had a build up of old food underneath. New visit and hated it. Overall establishment cleanliness has greatly approved. Service is non existent because it is not necessary. No wait staff no counter staff. The experience is no longer Steak and Shake environment they have begun using kiosk to order and self serve drinks. No staff except kitchen staff. Plastic utensils in open containers and not individually wrapped utensils. Food had improved no complaints.
Actually I want to rate them 0 stars. Steak n Shake in Hiram! It was horrible, the place was so dirty, our feet stuck to the floor because it was so sticky the tables needed to be cleaned, the soda machine was grimy and they over cooked the burgers and fries. Fries were like the shoe string potatoes you use to buy in a can! It took forever and there wasn’t anyone in there. We should have left but you pay on the electronic menu board when you come in( no humans to greet you). They bring your order to the back counter and call your number! I realize everyone is short of help these days but this was really sad.😞 We will never go back!
I don't know how this place is still open. I've been here several times and it's always dirty, place smells like old mop and grease. The service is always slow. Today I came with my son and he ordered the chicken fingers, I had the Frisco prime steak burger with onion rings. Waitress (named "Q") was extremely slow. I ordered water and a coffee. She brought the water but not the coffee. Another waitress brought the food out. No utensils, no napkins, nothing. I finally got up and asked for napkins and my coffee, took her another 5 minutes to being napkins and coffee. (Needed the napkins to wipe the extra grease off the burger buns). She brought my coffee, didnt ask if I wanted cream so I asked someone else for it, then she brought cream and nothing to stir coffee with, so I had to get up again and go find a spoon. Burger was too greasy to eat, it made me nauseated and that rarely happens to me, I can usually eat anything. About the only thing I can say good about this place is that the kitchen staff is efficient, our food did come out fast. Oh, and the water was good! 😏 I won't be back and don't recommend.
