We used to have a Steak and shake in Charleston SC and we loved it, but it closed a few yrs ago. We came today for lunch because we miss ours and everyone was so nice, everything was clean, food was good 🥰

We ordered 2 number sevens. They got the burgers completely wrong and both were swimming in mustard. We drove back around to the window and told them they were wrong. I was about to tell them again how we wanted them but the girl cut me off and told me it was on the receipt. We drove up to wait on them to remake them. They eventually bring them out to us and I swear to God they looked like they wiped off the mustard and brought the same burgers back out to us. We drove around again and asked for their corporate number. They said we would have to Google it. Then I'm assuming the manager got on the phone to her manager and told her that the drive thru girl read our order back to us but guess what...she never did. Which as soon as I started to tell them this the manager had the girl at the window close that same window in my face. Do not go to the steak and shake in Dalton, GA. If you do then check your food before you pull off because it's probably gonna be wrong.

Gone are the days of Poodle Skirts, Sock Hops, Drive-In theaters and good customer service. Standing in line, I watched as chaos ensued as customers fended and tended for themselves in getting their orders that were lined up on the counter. No staff assistance given. Counter ordering and pickup in to go bags are now in. This 85 year old burger chain offering steakburgers and shakes continues its nostalgic throwback with its furnishings, fixtures and music straight out of the fifties. This location has a worn, tired feel to it. Prices offer a bang for your buck, as a number of meals are under four dollars. My Original Double 'n Cheese Steakburger was two nicely grilled beef patties, cheese and all the toppings. A small side of shoestring fries came with it. Food was good, prices reasonable and now if we could only return to the customer service of the past.

The redhead manager was rude and I I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake and got a vanilla milkshake and he refused to make it right. He took the milkshake back and when looked through it with my spoon be hind the counter and them brought it back and said that the ice-cream was cookie dough flavored. I throw the it away cause I didn't know what he done to it out of my sight. I will never ordered milkshake from there again

I just drove by and I am pregnant so I thought I’d get some Steak ‘n Shake. I ordered the number 1 and I asked for a Large. I also ordered a large strawberry milkshake. Well the whipped cream was no where to be found and they gave me a small order of fries than a large. This is not okay. It just feels like people on not paying attention to the customers orders. As I noticed there were teens in the building at this time.

If you want a tasty burger but don't won't to break your wallet Steak n Shake will do in a pinch. At peak hours you'll definitely be waiting. Whether it be drive thru or dine in. I had to wait about fifteen minutes on one visit. There's no healthy options so don't go expecting one.

Same food as always which is pretty good. The service and vibe in the dining room was absolutely terrible. The girl taking orders did not want to be there and it was obvious. Dining room was dirty and no one ever came out there to clean up the tables or anything during our visit. Just go through the drive thru and save yourself some trouble.

Went to dalton Steak ‘n Shake with the family and they not only changed things to where you stand in line to order and go up and get your own food now but was also nasty and not at all a clean place. Used to love going there but not the same anymore so probably won’t be going back. Also food wasn’t good at all.
