Management needs to step up! It took just under an hour for a basic cheeseburger and fries, and then it was cold. Other folks were waiting over an hour and even then, some orders were wrong. A few folks finally got someone’s attention, canceled their orders and then waited to apply for refund. It wasn’t that busy either.

I wasn't a fan of the fries which reminded me of canned potato stix. The burgers were decent. I feel like the service of ordering off a machine is good and bad especially if you've never eaten at this chain before. It feels hard to ask questions.

We pull up with 4 hours left of our road trip to be told "we're not taking drive thru orders anymore" yeah okay we go into the dead restaurant and place a to go order. My friend has to wait way to long for someone to take their order because they wanted to pay cash. we love steak n shake but this one is the absolute pits and not worth it save your money and time for Culver's or even better the circle k because this place sucks

15 minutes into waiting for my order someone with my order ticket came out and asked how long we had been waiting... the order time was on the ticket. We were assured our order would be right out. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes for food. Then... the order was incomplete, and one of the cups of chili was about half full. Also the toppings were not as ordered on the burgers. Was rightfully asked for the receipt regarding the missing item. I was then told, that the receipt only showed 2 fries. I had to point out the third Junior fries. Other people ordered after and were served way before us. We were a party of three so this was not because we had a large order. Fries were cold. The burger was pretty good but not nearly good enough to deal with that hassle. The trash cans were over flowing with no where to put your trash. The napkin dispenser was empty. In summary, save your time, effort, money, and mental health and go just about anywhere else. I can see why over half of the SnS stores have closed. At this rate, they will soon be a thing of the past everywhere.

I had not eaten all day and was looking forward to a Frisch melt and western bbq n bacon with egg on the top, same thing I’ve always gotten for years. I arrived at 6:54 I remember looking at the clock wondering how long it would take since there were only 2 people in front of me. I ordered then verified my order at the window. After I pay they tell me they don’t add egg anymore but says he can add a patty to my burger which is fine. Then a lady gives me a shake with ice cream dripping down the cup so I ask for some napkins. Then I ask if I can get a barcode or if they can scan my phone for the rewards program. Only reason I thought about it is they have a sign that says to do that. Then they tell me they don’t do rewards. I look at the clock and it’s now 7:31 that I’m leaving after waiting in line forever. Then I go to eat the fresco melt and it’s cold, not just not warm but cold like it’s been in the fridge. My other burger was burnt and not warm. I also learn that they charged me for an additional burger that I didn’t order. The fries were decent but that’s all. The manager was nice but that doesn’t fix the fact I was in line for 30 minutes to get cold food at a FAST FOOD restaurant, if I’m waiting that long it should be fresh off the grill. At least they had a manager today because it’s normally just kids working there

Wow, what a change. If paying with a credit card, you have to use a kiosk to place your own order. Cash paying customers place their orders at the counter. The food was good and fresh. You had to get your own drinks from the fountain. We were the solo business until other customers came in about 40 min later. Sad experience compared to pre-pandemic.

Very saddened to see the current state of the steak ‘n Shake. I was a patron here for many years when I was younger. After moving away I always looked forward to eating steak ‘n Shake on my trips home. However, I think this might be the last breath This steak ‘n Shake is breathing. The atmosphere is completely gone. feels very basic in there the drive-through could take up to an hour. Employees are scrambling. Lost, oribably not paid enough. Order the chili and it was basically just water. I just can’t do it anymore. Very saddened by this.

Hadn't been here in too long. GREAT EXPERIENCE! Friendly people and delicious food. Burgers were cooked to order and the shakes were awesome. Highly recommend.
