St. James is a great place to grab a delicious chicken dinner! My family has been frequent customers for many years. It's always worth the drive from Fort Wayne

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and everything was delicious! I concur with their confidence on the deliciousness of their fried chicken.

Great food and service in a cool old building. portions are large, and prices are low. The back bar is beautiful. I really enjoyed the bartender, friendly but not intrusive. I had the cheesesteak, and my wife had the broasted chicken. Both were fantastic. I will definitely be back

As a first-time dinner at this restaurant. The experience server was great, the food prepared as ordered, and tasted great. The restaurant itself looked well maintained for it's age . My only complaint was the room I dined in was a bit smaller so it made for a more compact experience with other tables. Although, I believe they are doing the best they can with the space available .

My wife and I sat at the bar. Really, really good service, great food. The prices are great, and the portions are ample. I got the cheesesteak, very good, I'm from central PA. My wife got the boasted chicken. Cheesesteak, with coleslaw and broasted potatoes,$14. My wife had the broasted chicken breast, coleslaw, and German potatoe salad, $9. Can't beat it. Found it on a whim. If you are anywhere in the area, check this place out.

Steak was not seasoned. Blah taste. I had to smother it with A-1 sauce which if a steak is good you don't put anything on it! Haven't used A-1 sauce on a steak it seems like forever! Ordered medium rare. Still too red inside and chewy. Garlic toast over cooked. Very crunchy and very dry. Served with butter which isn't garlic toast to me. Ranch dressing for salad was runny like water. Sure isn't what I remember how good the food use to taste like years ago. This restaurant was well known for that. So disappointed......

Our waitress, Jennifer, was so sweet & gave us excellent service! Everyone was so friendly & helpful. Food was very good...would recommend the handmade grilled tenderloin & the German potato salad.

I like trying local places when traveling but this one didn't meet our expectations. Prime rib was overcooked. Filet Mignon was overcooked and really dry. Mashed potatoes were bland.
