Wow! We were SO pleasantly surprised! Absolutely delicious BBQ! The ribs were so tender and meaty! Chicken wings were not like any I've had before. Super crispy, not greasy and also meaty!!! I am always turned off by creamy coleslaw but after my husband saying how good this was, i decided to try it. So tasty and with a little spicy kick i wasn't expecting! I'll be craving this in the near future for sure!!! Fries were great, mac and cheese was good, cornbread was also good. In addition to the amazing food, the drinks are delicious too! I had the hurricane and it hit the spot!!! We literally can't wait to go back here. I can't believe we waited so long! It is a small place, but worth the wait for sure! All of the staff and owner is so friendly, you'll feel like you're at home. Southbound BBQ has convinced me that they truly are the BEST BBQ in Rockland... and then some!

Great food and atmosphere. I had the pulled pork Sammie sandwich. My wife had chopped brisket cheese steak sandwich. Both were excellent! For an app I had Cajun shrimp in a basket. The food was great, the employees were great and the price was right on the money for the amount of food you get. The only negative was that the place could be bigger. Four tables isn't enough. PS. Get the fried Oreos for dessert!

I came here tonight on the recommendation of a friend that I was meeting up with when I said I wanted a good burger. The 8 oz Angus Burger with Bacon and American Cheese far exceeded my expectation! Perfectly cooked and very tasty! When I get coleslaw with my food, I always end up adding salt and pepper. Not this time! Amazing!!! I enjoyed the Smoked Margarita and the Bourbon Smoked Lemonade both expertly prepared by Steve! My friend left to go home and I stayed to finish my drink and decided to try the Bulleit Rye Manhattan Moon...the perfect end to my evening! I will definitely be back to try other food and drink!

Absolutely loved stumbling upon this place as I was in the area for work. Sat at the bar, staff was friendly and attentive. Ordered a seltzer, and decided on the shrimp and grits. It did not disappoint. Perfect portion, well seasoned and flavorful. Enjoyed the bourbon bread pudding for dessert. I would certainly recommend it here.

OMG!!!!!! If you are looking for amazing BBQ, look no further. SouthBound Bbq has everything you need. 1st the staff is very good, polite and knowledgeable about the menu and offers up tasty suggestions to 1st timers. I highly recommend getting the beef bacon appetizer. Trust me, you will not regret it. Go there just for that, and then splurge on everything else. Get the sampler platter. Everything is perfectly smoked and seasoned. Not that you need it, but they have several sauces on the tables that accent the different cuts you will enjoy. I cannot say enough about this place. Go there and enjoy yourself. You won't regret it.

Delicious delicious food. I ordered the ribs and absolutely demolished them. My girlfriend and I also ordered wings and it was so good, that it became our favorite wings. The sauces they have to use with your meats are also so good to test out on your meats.

As a discerning barbecue eater from St.Louis, I’m partial to Texas and Kansas City styles (St.Louis arguably isn’t really a style of barbecue). I had an outstanding rack of ribs and a couple of sandwiches with different meats, slaw, etc. This place totally rocks - excellent mix of sauces from Carolina style vinegary-thin to Texas-KC thick n sweet. Meats were slow-smoked and had all that you could hope for. Sides were plentiful and on point; very unique too. I haven’t had barbecue this good in a while, and I frequently look locally for new spots to scratch the itch. I travelled this far inland from Port Chester, NY, and I’m glad I did! Yes, nearby Bailey’s is also good (sorry to mention a local competitor, but I gotta be honest), but quite different. Will return with company, and if I can’t, then I’ll come back myself and get threw days worth!! That good.

Great experience, everyone was super nice. The place has a good vibe and the Food was good! Not much BBQ spots in the area, would recommend this one.
