I don't remember the last time I had tasted such delicious food with such unique flavors. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in New York for the taste of its food. It is not conventional at all and is exquisite on the palate. The attention and education on the part of the staff is excellent, very much in keeping with the level of flavor of its food. The plantain croquettes are unique in New York, the ribs are like cotton candy because they are so soft, and the Argentinian milk dessert tastes delicious.

Sonora is a great place to eat with a romantic, fun atmosphere. We’ve been here twice and both times we really enjoyed the food. I’m not the most adventurous eater, but the guacamole and tempura fish tacos were amazing! My husband got the short rib and that was delicious as well. For dessert, we tried the chocolate fondue; seeing as you don’t find fondue on the menu very often! It was really good, and came with fruit and marshmallows to dip. The service was quick and very friendly! Will definitely come back.

Sonora made the 2022 Westchester Magazine Best restaurants list, so my expectations were very high. I appreciated the earthy decor and attentive wait staff, and the menu's many tempting pan-Latin offerings makes this a fairly unique spot. I enjoyed my hibiscus mezquelita, sweet and smokey! The food was good but not great. Maybe we didn't order the best dishes. My Pollo Organic Renello was tasty for the first bite or two but soon became boring. My husband's Camarones y Vieras was more enjoyable. The food is rich. Was unhappy my server upsized our guacamole to a large without asking us. Tip - the guacamoles have 2 prices, apparently for large and small. Be sure to specify or they'll decide for you $21 later.) All in all, a decent meal. Not disappointed, just not living up to "Westchester's Best."

Been here 3 times, each time tried a different country dish and they all have been delicious. Drinks are great as well. The flan was also very good. You can tell it was made from scratch.

What a wonderful dining experience! Antonio, our server, was excellent and so were the other staff without hovering over us. The guacamole and chips were the BEST I’ve ever had anywhere. (And we go out a lot!). The ambience, lighting, entrees and drinks were outstanding. Can’t wait to come back. Sorry we just found out about this place, would have been coming for years. Next time we will try Happy Hour for drinks and tapas!

The drinks were great, the red sangria was delicious. Their wine selection is decent and so is their spirits selection. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely as well.

Paella Friday it is. Everything was very good. The rice and seafood were not overcooked and oversalted. The tapas was delish. Real Pico de Gallo. The Sangria was not sugary, it was refreshing. The decor could use a freshening, but is by no means worn. The Jazz music was excellent. The service o.k. The noise level was a bit high. That was understandable sine the restaurant was full.

We are sooo grateful that Sonora Restaurant planned and prepared such a beautiful and DELICIOUS meal for Rosh HaShanah!! The service staff was delightful and from appetizers to dessert the choices were authentic and very tasty!! We plan to return next year! Thank you!! 🙏🤩❤️❤️
