Breakfast Menu "Sonny's BBQ" Flowery Branch

Food was good, as expected from Sonny's. The service and speed however, was not satisfactory. They took over an hour to seat us, serve us and bring us our food. Only two of us. A family of 6 followed by a family of 4 were immediately seated with no wait. I nonchalantly mentioned it to the server with no reprimand offered or action taken. I love Sonny's but this location needs some work. I will NOT be returning to this location.

Servers fighting, our server walked by our check with card on it 4 times. Went to pay , and another server was checking people out and said we'd have to wait on our server. She checks out another party and continues to ignore us. We just want to leave and head on up the road. Food was fine. Service sucks. ... 5 minutes into pulling this up on Google and writing a review, I'm still waiting to check out.

This particular Sonny's had a health score of 85 and showed a previous score of 80. Very slow service with only 4 tables occupied (3 of which had only 2 people). Quality of food was ok, but nothing to brag about. I'd cook my own next time.

We picked Sonny's because we needed to eat pretty quick, and they are normally really fast on the service. However, this was the longest wait we've ever had at a Sonny' s, and they weren't busy. The food was fine, but I think our server forgot to put in our order. Everyone else was getting food that had a different server, so something went wrong with our order. I noticed our server spent a lot of time chatting with other people. Our ketchup bottle was empty and we asked the server for more. Finally we just got up and found a full bottle at an empty table. Beverages ran out too and we had to flag her down. Our server was clearly having a bad day.

Sonny's is always decent food but seems to have gone a bit down hill in the last few years. Salad bar looked very unattractive and the server was not the most attentive. Overall the value for the money is not on par with the dozens of new BBQ restaurants in the county.

This particular Sonny's was a miss for me. Waited too long for a table of two to be seated when the restaurant was two thirds empty. Plenty of waitresses seemed more concerned with each other rather than their own tables. I ordered a side salad and soup, and our waitress came back with an empty plate and told me, straight up: "I don't feel like making a salad, so here's a plate, salad bar is up there. Just don't go too crazy, ok?" As a server myself, I understand a lot of struggles with managing people and tables, but I was really apalled at that, because making salads are a server's responsibility in most sit down restaurants. I get really nervous in unfamiliar places, and was shaking trying to find the salad bar, nearly dropped my food. I just made the salad described in the menu, but that experience took any enjoyment out of my food, and my date. If you want staff that actually do their jobs and care about their customers, I would avoid this location. I will not be returning here.

Service was pretty slow. We went for Brunswick stew and they were out. We went earlier in the day too. Also, my husband got all you can eat ribs and they weren't worth the $16. He said his ribs were dry and tough.

Portions have gotten smaller then before and the waitress helped her friends first before us even though we were there already. Took aost 20 minutes before she took drink order and an hour before we got food. My wife was given a kids meal and charged for a full one. We never got any drink refills. Staff spent a lot of time talking by kitchen window.
