My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and teriyaki sticks. Silver Palace is ordinarily a sit down restaurant that is presently offering take-out only due to Covid restrictions. Price: Absorbently high at $88.24 or $.59/oz. Portion: 9.4 lbs between the two meals is 2x+ the average price of a Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County. Pros: - Convenient South Burlington location off Williston Rd. - Provided soy sauce packets, duck sauce, spicy mustard and several fortune cookies - The beef teriyaki quite delicious - Chicken & Broccoli meal was quite tasty - Overall food presentation was excellent Cons: - Price, Price, & Price - Long wait time (1.5 hours, Friday evening) during peak hours - Don't offer combination meals - Didn't include utensils or napkins - Didn't have egg rolls, but offered spring rolls instead - Although the pork fried rice recipe was cooked with more veggies than we normally see, the rice itself was rather bland and lacked flavor - The sesame chicken recipe wasn't tasty Impression: Generally good tasting food costing more than twice the average cost of a typical Chinese takeout in Chittenden County. Convenient location & good curb appeal. Overall positive experience giving Silver Palace a 3.5 star rating.

The menu here is not the standard Chinese takeout menu you see in most places though it contains many similar options. The food is definitely priced higher than most places which raises the expectation that the food will be much better. I ordered several different items for takeout. When I arrived, strangely there was not a single person sitting in the dining room, only a steady stream of customers picking up their meals. Overall, the food was just ok - perhaps a slightly better version of your typical takeout but not enough to justify the extra cost. The $25 Crispy Peking Duck was very disappointing considering it was a breaded duck breast cut into cubes and served on top of some sauteed onions. The pancakes that were served with the duck were nothing more than flour tortillas that typically are served with fajitas in Mexican restaurants. The only thing crispy about this meal were the $20 Bill's I had to use to pay for it. My recommendation, go to any other Chinese takeout and save your money.

This place was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We were sat promptly and had drinks within 5 minutes. Any questions about the menu were explained and the order was taken. The food was delivered promptly and hot. Everyone raved over how good it tasted. I had Scallops Gwin Jin and must of had 15 or more large scallops and was it ever delicious. Definitely not cheap but well worth the price. Will definitely be going back.

One of my all time favorite restaurants. TONS of gluten free options and the kitchen is always so careful and considerate of dietary restrictions. Cannot recommend highly enough. This is the type of place you order extra just to have leftovers. Special shout out to the Singapore street noodles.

Excellent food and service EVERY time. We eat here 3-4 times per month and it is consistently the best of the best food in Vermont served by some of the friendliest people. The staff is super accommodating and their Singapore Street Noodles are amazing.

It's a decent dine-in restaurant, a bit on the pricey end. Don't do takeout! In general the food here is good - consistent quality and taste, and the ambiance is fine. Location wise, it is tucked in the back and can be easily missed. Takeout is not their strong point, as it somehow takes them a considerable amount of time to fulfill your order. And their pricing IS restaurant pricing, not fast food Chinese takeout pricing.

Superb, made to order meals. The Silver Palace is not your typical Chinese take out type of restaurant. (Not that I am critical of take outs.) The Silver Palace awaits your visit with excellent service and attention to detail. In a hurry? Maybe not the place for you. Each meal is prepared fresh; presentation is excellent and the servers are above the rest. But the SP does do take out so if you are in a hurry, call ahead, pick up your order and head home. There is no skimping on quality with take out. My favorite dishes are the garlic rice with either shrimp, scallops or a seafood mix beautifully prepared and presented. However, in my opinion, you can't choose a bad entree at the SP. Try the "Creations" section of the menu! Dinner for two, if you have 2-4 cocktails and two appetizers will run between $70-$100 before gratuity. However if you skip cocktails and appetizers you can easily dine for under $50. I have been going to The Silver Palace as far back as I can remember and continue to enjoy their menus and service. If you were to put a gun to my head and make me note one con it would be: It's probably time to update/freshen up the decor. Not much about the decor has changed in years. Don't get me wrong...the establishment is excellently kept clean.

Silver Place it has been around for a long as I can remember. They have the Best Chinese food around the Burlington area. If you haven’t tried it you have to before you can say any other place is better. When I hear someone say oh this place is the best I always have to find out for my self and with that being said I still think Silver Palace is most likely the best.
