The buffet/salad bar was clean and well maintained. The food was good. The restaurant itself needs a little updating with older carpet and tables/chairs. Nancy was very nice.

The place was almost empty and that was good for us. Not many people reaching over the buffet. The food was, OK. Nothing really to write home about. I was told that the crab stuffing was good. Service was normal. like I said the place was slow. Atmosphere, OK, it was pleasing to the eyes as far as restaurants go, but there was no air conditioning and the employees that were putting out the food seemed to be sweating. Not a good look. If the atmosphere was better I believe Shoney's would have been just as full as the other places in the area.

It was my 1st time visiting Bama, and i had been to a few other big name known restaurants and was SERIOUSLY!!! Disappointed 😞 driving thru Dothan, we stopped @SHONEYS, and i was in HEAVEN😊 THE GRITS OMG!!! AS WE SAY IN THE BAY AREA, THE GRITS WAS HELLA GOOOOOD ON MOMMAS. THE 🥞 🥞 FLUFFY AND LITE AND MMMMMMM REAL SAUSAGE PATTYS AND JUST GOOD OLE SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY I will always look for this food chain when I'm in the south.

The food is good, according to what day it is...on a good day I'd rate it a 4. The service is nice and helpful, and the atmosphere is filled with the local city folk. I recommend this restaurant to my top 5 breakfast restaurants.

It's been forever since I've visited shoney's and I'm glad I finally did. I had the salad bar and there is absolutely nothing I can complain about. Everything was awesome, and that's all I have to say about that. :-)

Our server was the star of the restaurant. While the other employees stood around, she was waiting 3/4 of the tables, cleaning tables, and serving as the hostess. Understaffed is an understatement. The food was cooked poorly and didn't come out as ordered or listed in the menu. I felt sorry for our server having to bring the meal to our table and if I ran a restaurant I would have offered her a job that night to get her out of the place. I tipped her as much as our dinner cost because she worked so hard. I saw severL tables leave due to lack of attention but it was management's fault for not having enough employees. The hot fudge cake was the only other star. DOUBT I WILL RETURN!

The seafood bar was good! The manager was very friendly! Our waitress seemed distracted, and we had to ask for things more than once! Inside could use a refresh.

Haven't eaten at a Shoney's since I was a kid. No bad reason, they just aren't as prevalent as they use to be. Brought back a lot of great memories, and the food is still great, almost like comfort food. The service was fast and friendly. Still one of the best breakfast buffets around.
