Really loved the presentation, they arranged every thing we ordered on one platter, very beautiful and fresh and delicious! Our server was excellent and quick to take care of anything we needed. The only downside was sitting on the patio. The lighting was so dim I couldn't see my menu very well, let alone my food when it finally arrived. Also, I couldn't pinpoint why because of the seriously low lighting, but I had a sense that, overall the restaurant was a bit dirty. Even still, the Sushi rolls, Sashimi and service would be worth a return trip!

Nice Japanese Sushi restaurant and helpful staff. The food was very good. Loved the bento boxes and the child's veggie sushi was beautiful. Advertisement stated, "Buy one, get one free". But when wet got there it was, "Buy one, get one half off". We were told the ad was a mistake on the part of the magazine and they wouldn't honor it. So if you're going for an advertisement special, you may want to call and verify first. Otherwise a lovely evening

We had 4 different signature rolls here and really liked all of them, but my personal favorite was the pink cadillac! The service was very good. Our server was very friendly, checked up on us several times, and our waters got refilled promptly. Our sushi came to us pretty quickly also. Had a beautiful view of the lake, but if you sit outside make sure you sit somewhere where the sun doesn't blind you as it is going down haha.

Fantastic view, excellent service and delightful food. Best views for a restaurant in Sandpoint! Park your boat, bike or vehicle.

Super cozy environment with soothing lighting & fireplace. Incredibly delicious and well presented food! The staff is fantastic and efficient, very inviting & genuine. The best waitress in our (my partner & I) is definitely Coral! She is quick, thorough, she remembers your favorite cocktails, etc. We love going to Shoga Sushi every time.

Great food, horrible service. This is not the first time we've had horrible service here, I wanted to give them a fair chance before giving a bad review. The hostess greats you with a grumpy face, bad attitude and has to wait a few minutes to figure out what open table to sit you at, mind you there were many open tables. We waited 30 mins for a waitress to even acknowledge us, again they were not slammed there. When she finally came to our table, she was rude. While I could go on and on about each incidence that we have had on our recent visits, I will refrain from writing a review that is biblical in length. I will say the entire staff needs better training, the owner of this establishment is failing his employees by not training them, setting standards and so on. Good food and good views will only take you so far. Our last 3-4 visits have had horrible service and now we are done trying. Each time we give this place a chance, we've spent well over a hundred dollars in not over two hundred! Each person that comes in should be treated with respect and a friendly demeanor - it's almost as if the people working here do not realize that the people they are serving are the ones paying there bills. Better tips come with better service! Both my husband and I worked in service for years and are just shocked at how poorly this place is run.

Visiting my folks and they took us here for some sushi. The wait was pretty ridiculous. It was around 5:30 on a Thursday and there were plenty of open tables. We were a party of 4 and there was a party of 2 behind us. The hostess acted as if she didn't know what to do. We stood there for 10-15 minutes..unsure why we were waiting. We finally said something and were told that they didnt want to overload the wait staff with orders. That would be understandable if there weren't 8+ servers working the small not very full restaurant. Half of my table ordered sushi and the other half ordered something from the kitchen. The kitchen items arrived cold, unfortunately. The sushi was fine, though. Overall, not the best, but works in a pinch.

The restaurant was fairly busy and food was good. The wait staff was so swamped that we needed to ask for things multiple times and correct beverages when they came out wrong. Food was good, larger portion sizes than other Sandpoint area sushi places. Really friendly staff. Definitely be back.
