Great food, super polite staff. Kind of pricey, but a great deal of food and sooo good.
Very disappointed! Read the great reviews and was excited to try but big let down. Placed a carryout on a Friday night, hours state they close at 10pm. Arrived a little after 9 to pick up, no customers and the door was locked. Ordered a Large Chicken Fattoush, received at best a medium sized salad. Also ordered a Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, which was dry and mostly pita bread. Side note, when you click on the menu on their website, a virus tries to initiate😠 As you can see, from the time I called you to the time I picked it up a little after 9 is not 45 mins. So lets not lie!
Food was awesome, but service was pretty slow. Seemed understaffed.
I hadn't been here for a couple years. I stopped going because of a lady that was working there. The gentleman I dealt with last week and today was fantastic! Great attitude and actually had knowledge of the food on the menu! Crazy! I did not have any issues with the food previously but I can say that the food was delicious and it is even better now! I was beyond pleased with my experience today.

I was in town on business and looking for good meat and vegetables. As soon as I walked in the door, both the hostess and chef/owner were very welcoming and helped answer all the questions I had about the menu. They were really helpful with suggestions and even let me sample the soups they had on prior to making a choice for my meal. I ordered the Shish Tawook with mushrooms, grilled vegetables, and rice. It was all delicious. Fresh vegetables and fresh, white-meat chicken. I was afraid the portions would be small, but this is not the case. This meal was more than enough to fill me up! The meal was served with pita and some sort of garlic dip that was also terrific. Throughout my experience, the hostess and cook were engaged and attentive to my needs. You definitely need to give this place a try! Don't be alarmed prior to walking in. The quality is terrific and people are great.
My husband and I came for the first time today and the food was AMAZING. The guy there was so nice and a geniunely cool guy! Their Chicken Ghallaba, Meat Combo, Garlic Sauce was perfect! When we come back to visit Detroit we will most definitely be coming back to Shish Town. A1 Customer Service!
Awesome place to eat! Went with a friend and ordered two different chicken dishes. Both were very well cooked with great authentic seasoning and delicious flavors all throughout the dishes. The vegetables that went with my chicken were just as flavorful as the chicken and both complimented each other very well. You could also tell the pita to start the meal was made in house, delicious by itself but also goes very well dipped in the chicken and veggie soup. The rice was awesome, even took a side order to go. Staff was excellent. Knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.
